Soooo......

Here's my opinion on what positions we need in order of need.

LEO

LG

FS/CB

MLB

RB

WR

TE

We'll get two in this draft. That leaves only 5 positions to fill next offseason. 2 draft picks & 3 FAs. I'd say we're in pretty good shape for a two year rebuilding process.

The bolded is what probably gets addressed this year and the rest gets put off until next year. Shanahan likes those hybrid WR/TE's types so that'll probably fix 2 problems with one pick.

Hankerson came to mind when you mentioned that.

Only 6 starters left.....

If that Bruce Irving trade falls through, that's 5.

I can see TD going FS/CB in the 2nd then LG/RB in the 3rd & 4th.

I like the Beasley pick. He said he feels like he is a double digit sack guy but I will be happy if he gets 7-8 sacks his rookie year.

My best guess is we may go MLB, CB or FS in the second round. I wouldnt be that mad if they went TE and drafted Maxx Williams though..... But id rather they stick with filling holes on the defense.

iono.. we still have oline problems. aside from matthews everybody else is janky. a running back with no improvement up front means nothing

The zone blocking scheme should help the o line out a lot

Welp.....looks like Alford just lost his job. Maybe Quinn can get him to bulk up & try him @ FS. Maybe a nickle cb(that's what I felt he should've been last season. Otherwise, it's over with.

Pro Bowl RG name Asamoah is a monster. Center Stone is legit. Truthfully, the O-line just needs a LG and MAYBE a RT.

Stole this from the Falcons' thread. I don't agree with all of the starters but here's the roster as of now.

DEFENSE

LEO: Beasley, Schofield

DT: Hageman, Babineaux

NT: Soliai, Jarret

LDE: Clayborn, Jackson

WILL: Durant, Bartu

MIKE: Worrilow, Stupar

SAM: Reed, Shembo

SS: Moore, Ishmael

FS: Southward, Godfrey

RCB: Trufant, Adams

LCB: Collins, Alford

NB: Alford, King

OFFENSE

LT: Matthews, Baker

LG: Baker, Konz

C: Hawley, Stone, Konz

RG: Asamoah, Rodgers

RT: Schraeder, Holmes

QB: Ryan, Yates

WR1: Jones

WR2: White, Hankerson

WR3: Hardy, Hester, Weems

TE: Tamme, Toilolo, Moeaki

RB: Freeman, Coleman, Smith

FB: Dimarco

If guys like Moore, Clayborn and Durant can stay healthy this defense might turn out to be solid. With our schedule if they can finish somewhere ranked in the middle we will win 10 games.

I'm still concerned about the FS & LG positions. I truly believe that's the only 2 weaknesses on the team now. From what I've read, the FS class will be a lot stronger in next years draft. That leads me to believe Quinn was willing to wait until next season to address that(2nd round?). Pick up an O-lineman in the 1st & we're good bro.

Yea we need a FS, I read somewhere that Southward was playing corner in mini camp last week so im guessing he eventually going to move there, but with them drafting Collins he will probably stay at FS.

I think we still need a MLB tho. They probably banking on Worrilow playing a lot better at MLB with better talent around him.

I like what we have done so far with that front seven. I think this defense is going to be solid.

Joe Barksdale works out for Falcons

Would be a great pick up IMO. Upgrade the RT position. Vet that's considered a good run-blocking. It would be nice to have him lined up next to Asomoah on the right side.

If he's signed, the only weakness on the O-line is LG.

I can see Quinn just letting all of the vets battle it out for that one position in their contract year. Win the starting spot or be cut.

Peter Konz: Excelled in a ZBS in college. Rookie contract up this year. Go hard or go home.

Sam Baker: I truly believe he's already out the door. His contract is what's keeping his crippled ass around.

Lamar Holmes: Big dude...pretty much lost his RT spot but if he can switch over to LG, I can see him staying. Otherwise.....

Hawley/Stone: I think these two will end up being the starting C & LG.
