Ghostface just WENT IN on Action Bronson

Ghost is my favourite rapper. IMO, dude is the GOAT. Others may not agree, but I got him as the best out there b/c of his consistency, discography, storytelling, lyrical ability, etc.

That said, I don't mind Action Bronson's music, but his good shit is few and far inbetween. When I download his shit, i'll end up deleting like 10 songs for every one i keep i my library, whereas with Ghost, i'm more likely to keep 10 for maybe every 1 i delete.

And truth be told, i only really decided to continue checking for Bronsolino b/c it's like getting a mediocre version of Ghost circa Supreme Clientele days, when he was doing his confabulation raps. At least with Ghost, it was pretty clear he was experimenting with different styles, and that style was his experiment in rapping nonsense to see how see how lyrical he could be without really saying anything. But Ghost has proven time and time again that he's among the best rapping in many different styles (hence his naming albums like Ironman, Supreme Clientele, and The Wizard of Poetry - all stylistically different albums).

Ghost coming out like this at Action leaves Bronson in a no-win position. And its totally his fault. He paused before he gave his answer and was smirking when he said it. He knew what he was doing and thought his hype had him surpassing Ghostdeini.

Action Bronson can talk when he's influenced as many artists with his music as Ghost.

I wanna see some careers ended. Violence isn't needed but I'm tired of everybody getting along in rap. Tear his head off Ghost!

Ghost is legendary when it comes to violence though.

RZA once wrote about a story that perhaps illustrates this strength quite well. “I remember a concert at the Harlem Armory in uptown Manhattan,” he shared in The Wu-Tang Manual. “The knights of The Wu were there to perform with other Rap crews when a fight broke out. People were fighting onstage, backstage, everywhere. It was just one of those days, when the whole place is fighting. People are swinging and kicking. Coca-Cola cans are flying fast as bullets, hitting people in the head. It was chaos. In the center of it, you see one man. There he is. Pants down to his knees. Two guys on one arm. Two guys on another arm. Two guys on his legs. He’s throwing arms, pushing through—he’s just unstoppable. Ghostface. He was like The Thing. Just throwing niggas!”

I am ghost fan and I tolerated bronson. A few of bronson songs got me hyped, especially his earlier stuff, but I never thought he was ghost.

Although tone and patterns were similar to a younger ghost, the content and free association (or no association) was not at ghosts level, but still decent enough for me to vibe with.

I'll be honest the comparisons always bothered me, but I saw prodigy and styles p and ghost and rae themselves working with him so I figured why should I get upset if the og's that im a fan of are accepting him. Not to mention, schoolboy q, currency, asap rocky and others co-signing him.

After this I'll still listen to action if its nice, but he is in the rick ross box in my mind, in that he is a complete fraud that knows how to make good music.

The crazy thing is that Ghost has a rep as the wild one in Wu and he's not even that. Masta Killa is worse than him. He punched a writer once because of a caricature used in an article because he felt picture made them look crazy. That is literally the point of a caricature. lol

I think Odb was the wildest

Appropriate and underrated Ghostzilla song

Somebody call me when Action Bronson can make anything on this level.

The more I think about it, the more Action Bronson comes off unoriginal.

Let's look at few things about his persona.

- Action Bronson raps about wrestling and food.

- Ghost always references food in his raps + dude was holding it down for wrestling way back in the Apollo Kids video, when he was rocking the Championship belt.

- Pun was also always rappin' about food

- Action Bronson tone and free association confabulation raps

- I don't even have to go into detail about this regarding Ghost - who owns this style with a vengeance.

- Action Bronson always has pics of him doing the splits with his hands in the air - as seen on the Mr. Wonderful cover

- That was Pun's logo

big-pun-logo-psd-446069.png

- Action Bronson video for Strictly 4 My Jeeps show him playing basketball being the fat dude that can ball

- Pun already did that in the Whatcha Gonna Do video with Fat Joe ballin'...pretty sure Bronson used the same location for the video too

- Action Bronson has his little videos of him giving cooking tips

- Ghost already did that with his Tips On Living series.

- Action Bronson had Asians getting it from behind while cleaning on Saaab Stories album cover

- A year before, Ghost dropped his verse on New God Flow, where he specifically mentioned "Asians get it from behind while they cleaning my wok".

I'm sure there's more, and i might be reaching with a couple of these, but this is just off the top of my head.

Just watched the ghost video and wow ghost is in his feelings, sending death threats because bronson said "he don't rap like this no more"? Ghost looking foolish bronson needs to go body slam that sensitive bitch, oh and bronson has better music and is a better rapper, cry me a river you geeky fucks, don't make me come back in here and really break this shit down.

Sad that some people are quick to make this about race.

oh, but low key, that's what this is all about

when someone like Macklemore can win the best rap category, something is wrong.

just like jazz and rock n roll, hip-hop is in the cross hairs of being whitewashed. If you cross any of the established white artists who're trying to establish a footing and corner a block of this rap shit, you will disappear.

AB hasn't established a corner yet, he was on his way, but he's got to deal with another established/legendary artist who won't give up his position......for no one. especially to someone who's ripped his style for his own benefit then says the forefather of the style has withered away, when he hasn't.

on the surface it's not a b/w thing, but to the core, that's what this is about. whitewashing rap/hip-hop, and replacing the weak with the white, and taking down the legends by belittling them in front of millions. He didn't say this on record or during a live show in front his (and Ghost's) fans, he said it in front of millions on a worldwide cable sports show. that's the way to take down the strong, take them down in front of as many as you can, because Ghost is in a place that he's not on those types of platforms for rebuttal. if no one sees his reaction, then Ghost doesn't exist, and AB takes his spot.

So if AB was black as well, his actions would be fine?

There wouldn't be simps protecting him.

You've been sonned by so many different posters, including myself, I don't even know how you have the audacity to be in this muhfucka talking wreckless. You white boys is too G.damn comfortable for me. Hugh Grant type muhfucka. Foh.

No, Bronson has never done anything that can amount to Ghost, nor will he ever be capable of doing so. Ghost has been one of the most consistent rappers of all time. What Bronson got on his resumé that's fuckin wit that?
