To be honest, it looks like they're trying to at least be faithful to the atmosphere that I.G created with the movies and various series. Ima give it a shot even though the rule of thumb is Hollywood based anime adaptations are complete and utter trash.

The visuals seem to have been lifted literally from the first GITS film which I don't mind at all. I'm just not digging the whole Jason Bourne/amnesiac/government conspiracy angle they seem to be going with - it feels like yet another cliched Hollywood film.
