Pretty pathetic how my thread turned into a "lets bash the first president of the United States" thread. People always quick to point out the sins of others when truth is revealed. I see you serpent.

same shit with tiger woods. people act like they shit dont stink

It's absolutely pathetic that people can't see past race at all. It's disturbing how a thread about the need for God and the Bible has turned into another "black vs white" thread. No wonder we can never progress as a people. Always stuck in the past. It's pretty childish and a real lame attempt to cover up the truth thats been spoken.

Again I see you serpent. Subtle and craftily the serpent always detours and subverts the truth. He takes peoples eyes off God and gets them to ponder secondary issues. I see you though. The truth can't be stopped. It will always prevail.

And one day in the near future, God will rule this whole universe without any opposition whatsoever. Come Lord and establish your kingdom!

Why does god have opposition in the first place? He's God...he can just speak the devil out of existence

He can. He could have destroyed the devil the moment he sinned. Why God didn't? Only He knows. But evidently God is working out a plan according to His purpose. Theologians have suggested that God is demonstrating once and for all what happens when rebellion takes place in His universe. Sin, death, destruction, misery, pain, hurt, etc. are all the products of rebellion. And thus God is showing all of His creative intelligences that life without God only ends in utter ruin. So when God makes all things right again, the chance for rebellion will never happen because everybody that will be with God for all eternity will know the consequences of rebellion. Just a thought.

so basically god is tyrannical. he wants to teach those a lesson about what happens when you dont BELIEVE in him...not teach those a lesson that go around and pull a hitler on others, or go around robbing people then ask for forgiveness at the last minute..not he wants to teach those who simply dont believe due to lack of evidence and a bible that has been altered throughout time

Come on man... you can't give Washington a huge amount of credit for how our country is today. No one is bashing present-day America (at least I'm not). But a lot of laws had to change for us to get where we are today, and George Washington had nothing to do with two of the most important ones (freedom of slaves and civil rights). He was a slave owner, and he was happy being a slave owner, and for that I refuse to respect him, let alone admire him. And for the record, I have just as much hate for any Africans who knowingly sold each other into chattel slavery as I do for European slave owners.

Excellent post, you pretty much spoke for me here. Africans fucked up selling other blacks to slavery, but I refuse to respect George Washington, a man who encouraged genocide of Native Americans and who participated in the slave trade with enthusiasm. The only Founding Father I truly respect is Benjamin Franklin.

If God truly wants people to believe in "Him", wouldn't he just put Jesus back on Earth again? It is extremely hard for any intelligent person to take the Bible seriously when the Bible supports genocide and slavery. And if God hates the devil so much, why hasn't he killed him off yet? That's like letting a child molestor live in your daughter's bedroom and not doing anything about it. If the Biblical God is real, he's just as evil as Satan is. Only an evil person would allow a child molestor to molest his daughter over and over again......meanwhile, God allows the devil to have so much power.

No wonder people don't take religious freaks like you seriously. The Bible is a sick joke, believed by only the dumb and stupid. I think people who support slavery and genocide are dumb, how do you feel?

I feel what your sayin, Im just sayin he does deserve admiration for what he helped build. As far as what I ment about us being sold by our brothers into slavery, I see alot of our people hating even the young generation for something their ancestors have done. Some of us are so against anything white because of what they have done, so much so that in their opinion a 3 year old white kid who has done nothing to them is called a devil, where i was comin from is if we are going to hate on any and all white people for what their ancestors did, we also should be completely against our own because alot and i mean a whole lot of us were sold into slavery by our own people.

I aint religious but to answer these

1. He sent Jesus once, he said the next time the world is done with when Jesus has to come back. Maybe its that God wants to see if we can change and resist the temptation of evil. If we continue on a path of sinning then he will, but this time it will spell death to us all. Or its just that Jesus isnt there because he isnt gods son.

2. He has to keep the devil alive, people tell me all the time you cant have life without a balance of good and evil.

Lol I dont believe it either, I guess the only argument would be without evil we wouldnt understand good because there would be no evil.

If the devil was dead we still would feel what bad feels like, there would still be disasters, there would still be poverty, there would still be famine. I dont see how the devil ties into anything honestly. People say God gave us free will which i also dont believe, but if he did we would still have people doing bad things, its just a scapegoat for people who have no self control, "Oh the devil made me do it", Oh well in that case I guess we just bless him throw some holy water on him n let him go, i mean its the devil not him so we cant hold him responsible.

so if life needs a balance of good and evil then god is obligated to keep the devil around for eternity..which means all that talk about him destroying hell is false

Yea pretty much thats what I always thought, if God doesnt destroy Satan because he needs the balance, then all the shit about the big boxing match is fubu

I completely agree that it is foolish to hate all present-day white people for what their ancestors did. Grouping an entire ethnic group (really multiple ethnic groups, there are dozens of nationalities that we call "white") together as "evil" makes zero sense. However I would have to respectfully disagree about Washington... while I understand where you're coming from, I cannot and will not admire any man who participated in the slave trade, regardless of whatever else he did.

Hate is a word that is thrown around a lot around here. I don't think the issue is about hate as much as it is a disdain for white supremacy based on injustice

So a disliking of white supremacy is a logical reason to label all white people as the devil regardless of age or beliefs?
