Davos didn't know what Stannis was up to. He always wanted to keep Shireen close to him so he could protect her. He made the same suggestion before they left the wall in terms of not taking her to war, before Melisandre suggested the sacrifice.
When Dany closed her eyes she wasn't warging or summoning her dragon, she was resigning herself to her fate. She thought she was done for, which is why she was surprised when Drogon showed up.
Are u sure tho? Wasn't bran surprised everytime he controlled an animal at first?
I think Danny has the same ability but only with dragons...and much like bran she has to learn to master her ability.
What's the point of riding a dragon u can't control?
In the after show on HBO Go the directors said that's what happened. I think the dragon riding is similar to a person riding a horse, but even deeper. There's a bond and trust established between rider and dragon. One doesn't control the other but they got each other's back at all costs. That's why I don't think Drogon killed those kids before. I think maybe the Harpies did that so she would lock up her dragons and they could get at her. Drogon was smart enough to bounce.
in the book it's pretty clear that the dragon killed a boy. It's used as an indicator to show how wild her 'children' are and pretty much implies "how can u tame these foreigners when U can't keep YOUR house in order"
I'm not gonna trip on the warg thing. I just see she and snow have similar trajectories. Both are uniting people as leaders..both are hubs for the supernatural activity on the show and both are protected by their animal companions who they seem to either be in tune with or control .
I don't know if I agree with that, unless I'm missing something. From what I recall, the same thing that happened in the show is what happened in the book. Someone brought scorched bones before Dani and said her dragon did it. She believed them. That could still be open for interpretation as far as whether Drogon actually did it, or he was being lied on. I could see it going either way.

One of the main themes of the books, show is what it means to be excluded from power: to be a woman, or a bastard, or a dwarf
Arya, Brianne, Cersei, etc are driven by the fact that they are born into a world where they cannot do or attempt the same things as men can
And while Cersei may be overly emotional, that doesn't mean she's dumb
Thanx in part to her gender she was never taught how to lead/rule and can only focus and succeed in small situations...that's her problem
And cersei is not completely to blame for the coming fall of the lannisters...jamie, tywin, tyrion have all played a big part
cs i been saying this (not a book reader). she would make a terrible leader, but let's not act like she hasn't been passed over for much better. joffrey? fuckin tommen?
What are you talking about?
How was she passed over?
Technically, the Lannisters don't have any claim to the throne.
The only reason Joffrey and Tommen became King was because everyone believes they're Robert Baratheon's sons.
@desertrain10
Being a woman didn't stop old lady Tyrell from being respected.....so don't use that feminist bullshit to make excuses for Cersei.
@
by not being given a seat at the table when everything is by birthright. tywin arguably hated tyrion most, but he still fucked with him because that's his son. tyrion was master of coin. jaime was given casterly rock if he wanted it...you mean to tell me she couldn't have done anything on the small council? the same shit wackass pycelle is on? the shit extends everywhere. despite the dancing lessons, ned told arya she was gonna marry a lord & be a wife & mother. she's always had more potential than that but the world they live in won't allow for that. arya & brienne had to leave home to be accepted.
@ 2nd bolded
we all know how stupid letting a child run a country is. even if those were really robert's kids you tryna tell me she couldn't officially be a stand in until they come of age? if joffrey didn't have all robert's real bastards killed they woulda kept going down the line for males. over cersei. dudes who don't know or care about an iron throne coulda got that shit while she grew up around it & knows how to politic. again i'm not saying cersei would make a good leader. i'm saying since merit doesn't mean anything & only birthright & gender do...there's no good reason why cersei (& other women) can't officially get the chance when there are worse male options they wouldn't hesitate to give authoritative positions to.

LLS they used to do that shit all the time on True Blood and actually called that "imprinting"
I get it though my wife can make the smallest of noises and the dogs come running
