Who said it was only about action? The shit is moving too slow. Period. Get on with it. Lot of this shit is pointless filler. Niggas so thirsty for a new episode they accept anything they give you niggas. A bad episode or a boring episode is just that, why try to excuse it or make it out to be something it's not? Everyone in this motherfucker has seen every episode of G.O.T and some episodes and/or seasons twice.

To say this isn't one of the most boring episodes yet is a damn lie.

Jorah should have chopped that hand off with a quickness. No guarantees but since he waited he's 100% dead now.

At this point he might as well just take the pussy from Daenerys. Worst she could do is have him killed, which would go faster than that grayscale will.

ok name 3 scenes that were unnecessary & didn't further the plot in episode 5...since a lot of it was pointless filler.

Greworm?

Reek is unnecessary....kill him or don't but I got business to attend to.

The grayscale mummies....man please..... Jaron catching grayscale. I'm not impressed.

The nights watch shit is being DRAAAAGGGGGGED my dude. Get the fuck on with it.

the dragon lady is a complete idiot.

I'm tired of this nonsense. Weather you know it or not.....that shit is being draaaaaagggggged out too. How many scenes have we seen where her dragons have actually done something besides kill helpless easy prey? Let's get it crackin bitch!

Coulda done everything they did in 5 episodes in 3.

So no... Maybe it's not pointless because technically everything they're doing has a point, however, they need to stop dragging this shit along only to have all the real shit go down in the final 3 episodes.

Checked the comment section on a recap blog.... Hella people believe it's moving way too slow.

I don't think you really understand what it means to progress a plot. As someone said before, Reek hold valuable information that could basically determine who wins the North. How is a character like that unnecessary? What he chooses to do with that information has to be built up. Did you expect him to just come out as soon as he saw Sansa and divulge everything instantly? If you did, then in addition to not understanding progression, you might also have some problems with understanding continuity.

Yeah, just because we say it's moving slow doesn't mean we don't get what they are doing. We just think it could be done more succinctly. Same way people claim we don't get it we can claim they the ones caping for the show.

Either way, doesn't change my love for the show. BE had the same problem at times, but it's still one of my favorite series ever.

Just to be clear on another point, it's not action I'm expecting. It's something happening that's impactful. I'm sure Dany deciding to marry ol' boy was supposed to be a big deal, but I just don't care. My excitement for her story was to get to Westeros and rip shit up with those dragons. I'm sure her troubles in Meereen are a way to show her perpetration for ruling in Westeros, but do we have to sit through council meeting after council meeting in that big empty room to get that?

i don't get the complaints.Big changes are happening.A new queen,Jaeme and bronn on a mission,Brienne still gangster,Jon snow is leading the night's watch,Dani is letting dragons kill ppl,Arya is becoming a facless killer etc etc.Big moves are being made.

Big moves that people must not care much about, or else the consensus wouldn't be what it is. A new queen, who hasn't done anything but have verbal sparring matches with the old queen. Jaeme and Bronn touched down in Westeros and fought a bunch of no-names. Jon Snow going back out to the Wildlings which will be a dragged out 4-week journey I know I'm not looking forward to. I would have been hype had he decided to take his place at Winterfell and marched with Stannis. Dany's dragons were hand fed like animals in a zoo, they still chained up. Arya been sitting around for 5 episodes.

Tyrion been on his way to Meereen for 5 episodes, whether it be with Jorah or Varys doesn't matter. Did we really need Tyrion to get kidnapped just to go where he intended to go in the first place? If it happened to further a different plot point, does it have to drag this long? I thought they were pulling up to Meereen when I saw the dragon in the preview, but no.

Look, if you don't like this season so far, that's fine. It is different than the other seasons in some ways, so that's fair. What I an others have a problem with is people that keep saying nothing is happening. Things are happening. If you say there aren't, then you're simply not paying attention.

The thing about this season is that they are splitting time between even more perspectives than they have in the past seasons. So the story as a whole is progressing about the same, but each individual character's story is moving a little slower. Some of you guys keep talking about how many episodes it's been and where a character is based on that time, but that's a stupid measure.

Like your criticism of Tyrion's plotline doesn't even make sense to me. We already knew that it would be a long trip for Tyrion. That was told to us several times in the beginning, so why are people acting like it's a surprise that he hasn't made there in the 10 mins of screen time he's received? And how is it dragging on? Again, his screen time has been limited and in that time we've discovered where he's been since living Westeros, learned how he's gotten there, seen him set out on a new plan with Varys. seen him taken prisoner by Jorah to be taken to the same destination for different reasons, and now he seems to be moving from prisoner to traveling partner. That is progression. You ask if we needed Tyrion to be kidnapped. What the hell kinda question is that? When is anything in a story done based on need? It's done to tell the story. You can't say it's a bad more or not because the plotline hasn't been resolved.

And my answer is no. Isn't that why we watch, to be entertained? Things are happening, but I just haven't been moved by what's been happening. Plenty of others that feel the same.

Y'all realize they have to fill at least 2 more seasons AFTER this? All these impactful thing you are naming is the endgame. Of all the plot lines in the show, hers and Arya deviate the least from the source. The show isn't dragging it out, it just is what it is.

And as far as your objection to her learning to rule with "council meeting after council meeting", that's literally what ruling is. Tall seem to want this show to be something it isn't.

And that's cool, all ya'll have to do is say that. There is no need to keep making criticisms that don't hold up. It's absolutely fine to simply say you don't like something and leave it at that. Or simply say it's moving to slow for your tastes and leave it at that.

Major Spoiler

With knowing how the books are going , and all the foreshadowing. That little boy is gonna stabb John at the end of the season....my assumption of course

True, but the criticisms you speak of are simply our reasonings for why it's moving slow to us.

All I can say is, even though I feel it is moving slow, I can't wait for shit to hit the fan! I know it's coming, and with all the build up, I know it's going to be good.

It's a show, not a book or real life. They need to keep viewers interested and vested in the plots. Am I saying the show is bad? No. Is it moving rather slowly? I think so. Could I do better? Hell nah!

how was it not necessary to see that grey worm lived after the attack?

how is reek/theon possibly coming around to being a human being again despite his torture & possibly about to spill the beans on some important information that sansa has surviving family still out there not important?

i'll give you jorah because he hasn't been important since he got banished but now that he has an infectious disease while holding arguably the most important character in the show...i think that means something.

game of thrones seasons have all been kinda "slow" except 4...but all of what took place was meaningful. idrk what you want from a show that has like 100 cast members. there's gonna be exposition & character building. if it's too slow for you whatever, but it's dumb to say most of what happened this season has been filler & dragged out. cuz if shit just randomly started poppin off people would complain about shit happening with no explanation.

Do ya'll cats only watch the show to see a main character get killed or something? lol It's like that's the only time some of you think it's interesting. How can you say the season ain't about shit? There hasn't been quite as much action this season, but the story has advanced a lot.

story ain't really been about shit to me either...shit just not to interesting so far this season action or the storyline

It's the amount of time dedicated to insignificant characters.

Question, we all know Bolton is a sick person right? Why keep parading that in front of us when most of us give a fuck about his character in the first dAmn place. His mere presence was not needed in my opinion. Sansa deserved better. Same with the butch dyke security guArd. Hoe you are not wAnted. Sansa who is a grown ass woman now, fires you, yet you persist to stalk her? Get her character the fuck outta here!!! (Bad enough she killed a character a 1000 times better than her)There is a Lot I don't like about this season. They have the opportunity to come out the gate swinging. Instead they have Jorah the lame kidnap Pete?!?! Why nigga? By now he should be wit the queen plotting his revenge on his weird ass sister. I'm one of those fans that scrutinize shit. Sorry, but I'm just not impressed at all by anything they have done thus far this season. And I'm a Game Of Thrones fan. That's my issue wit it.
