Rape is evil, but it's a part of life. Showing that part of life is not an endorsement of rape. It's just a part of the realism and characterization for the show. If it's a serious problem, then don't watch the show. Simple as that.

Of all the times Cersei "knew" someone in the book, whenever was it consensual on screen? It was always some form of hesitancy on her part, place is not right, someone is watching, or something must be done first. You need to understand the character to decipher accordingly.


For someone who's read the book, i'm surprised but understand your pov however.

Exactly. This is at least the FOURTH time the writers have used rape as a cheap tactic in telling their version of the story when even the original author didn't do it. And it's been suspect everytime, finally undercutting the character development the Sansa character was supposed to have after 5 fucking seasons, and then made it all about REEK for some reason.
