Wanted to start reading the books but I have a feeling it'll fuck up the surprise element of the show to me

yea me too but i just don't think i can read this type of shit. i can watch the show and enjoy it but not sure I can read about dragons and shit plus the books are long as fuck. i did a preview on my kindle and it was kinda hard reading the 1st book being I've already seen teh 1st season. it's like reading for nothing. but then you just can't start reading the 2nd book b/c you might have missed soem shit that wasn't in the show.

Tried the audiobooks? Thought Roy Dotrice was great doing the voices for the first 3.
