People don't want to buy an album full of people they don't know...they're not gonna pay for the whole effort, they want the solo albums. We Are Young Money is a rap compilation album. It has like 12 members or some shit. Those albums you named were rap solo albums or soundtracks.

Ruff Ryders Vol's 1 through 4 were rap comps. 'And Then There Was X' (which went 5x platinum) came out the same year as Vol. 1, and since him, stEve, and The Lox were all buzzing at the time... you'd think everyone else would hop on that too right?? Wrong. It never passed 1.5...and Vol. 4 still hasn't even seen 100,000 copies to this day. It's just not how it works.

The YM album, which she was ON, flopped....she had no hit singles with her group album, which is not a good sign for an artist who is supposed to drop this year.
