Damn!!! Marissa Alexander fired a warning shot against her well documented abusive husband and got sentenced to 20 yrs in florida. Stand your ground dud not apply to her. Thx to social media, she was released.

She's an average looking becky, who's studying at Oxford. Completely unsurprising.

When handing down these lenient sentences, I wonder how many judges see "promise" and "potential" in the black women and men who stand before them.

Yup. Whites are redeemable. Blacks NOPE!! Lock their asses up and ruin their lives because, they will never change. They are inherently violent criminals.

Posted the same story on here without realising that you already mentioned it... but yeah, it's total bullshit. She was fucked on drugs and shanked her boyfriend: no black woman is getting away with that nonsense in court regardless of how 'talented' she is.

it's a bird, no it's a plane, no it's white privilege

Also a healthy dose of the female privilege that females claim don't exist. Let's be real, a man is not going to stab a woman, and have judge be lenient for that reason. Not unless he's rich. Rich privilege trumps all.

Healthy dose of female privilege? Eh i dunno...white men are out here getting little to no jail time for rape and manslaughter

And while female privilege does exist there is a such thing as intersectionality ...meaning a blk woman would more than likely not receive the same lenient treatment

A blk man definitely wouldn't unless he had a high priced legal team

So i agree money helps alot

It's usually rich white men or white men with some kinda status (e.g., beloved athletes) that get away with that. The average every day white man gonna have to pay for some shit like this too.

And yeah, you're right, a black woman wouldn't walk, but she probably wouldn't get the book thrown at her completely either. This is one of those instances where there is a hierarchy of privilege. This just happens to be one where black men are at the bottom and black women are a couple rungs higher. We all know there are circumstances where the opposite is true too.

Does that term apply to black men and children as well?

NOUN

the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage:

"through an awareness of intersectionality, we can better acknowledge and ground the differences among us"

now reread my post....

specifically the part....

while a blk woman would more than likely not receive the same lenient treatment

a blk man definitely wouldn't unless he had a high priced legal team

It really was just a yes or no question.

Thanks for the answer

No it didn't suggest anything. IMO you "assumed" that and took it upon yourself to go further than what was asked of you.

I've been known what it is but every time I read or hear a black woman talking about it they never mention it in a situation involving black children or men. That is the only reason I asked.
