I hate sitting in barber shops. I try to go every Sunday morning but if I can't for some reason I just hold out for a week

I go at odd times cause you fuck around and be waiting for hours if you go on a weekend

yep. and aint nothing more infuriating than seeing the seat put back for some dope to get a full shave after it's already taken an eternity for the barber to give 'em a haircut. you think the wait is over, but nope.

Nah the worst is when waiting on a dude trying to hang on to his hairline instead of just going bald. Shit is the worst.

I know even one worse. A n*gga already bald getting his beard lined up and kept telling the barber to do this and that whenever the barber wanted to finish him off (/pause). I had that happen to me a while ago. I guess it was due to compensation. The n*gga lost his hair so he treats his facial hair like his actual hair, but I was like get it done already...

I used to go thru that struggle but I switched barbers up now. I set appointments with my barber & she is cold on them clippers

Used to have female barber hook my shit up. I'm telling you...you get a female barber that's nice with the clippers and attracted to you.........sheeeiittt..she will have to add looking like a movie star every single visit.

Ooo bruh I had this one fine ass hood female barber with like one gold tooth in her mouth a fat booty but still cute face. Bruh why she used to spin my seat to where I'm facing her and then she scoot up so that my knee would be shoved right in between her legs while she lining me up. She used to do it all the time like she wasn't scared, just straight didn't give a F. I used to be getting hard while in the chair smh

Nawl, I can't deal with unprofessionalism. Had a barber I was trying out in college pull that leave me in the chair shit while he steps out, and talk on the phone while cutting. He was lucky enough to get a few cuts, but I eventually just dipped. My time is too important. That's why I like that my current barber operates by appointment.

Yes, I like my current barbershop too. The fade is more but I feel it's worth it. Instead of going to my old barbershop on Saturdays; waiting all day with a pack of people instead I have the luxury to schedule my appointment beforehand; so when I pull up to my current barbershop then I am in the chair automatically

What clippers are the best? I already got some T outliners for the line but I'm about to start cutting my own hair

The pro's use Andis for lines and Osters for cuts....but it comes down to knowing what the fuck your doing, cause your favorite barber could still do a good job with some low grade shears he bought at Walmart, while u can have the best shears in the world and still do a shitty job.

I asked an old barber of mine what he'd do if the power went out while he was cutting someones hair, he said he could get still busy wit just barber scissors & a straight razor, it would just take longer. And one of my homies can line himself up from scratch using just a Gillette disposable razor...so it just depends on your skills.

*On a side note: every barber I know, just happens to be nice at drawing....I wonder if that's just coincidence

I never line myself up because I'm afraid I'm going to mess some shit up but I have a set of Andis clippers & a Wahl 5 star shaver. I shave everyday because I hate when hair try to grow up under my neck. I use the shaver to clean up under my neck & face. I might clean up my sideburns if it's getting out shape but that's about it

@lethal5 now I can't find that tend skin anywhere. I used to cop it at this massage place but I think they don't carry it anymore. Bath & Body Works suppose to carry it; so I'm going to hit them up this weekend for it. I miss that tend skin

Baldy with a beard, but I learned how to cut back when I was 12 when the fam was going through a rough patch and haircuts turned into a commodity instead of a necessity. I'll cut friends and fam if they really need it, but I do my own shaving/lineups.

Every now and then though, I will hit up the Puerto Rican barber and let son do his thing with the razor.

I'm weird, I can get one every two weeks for a couple months on schedule.

Then turn around and not get a cut for 4 or 5 months. Currently my last trip to the barber was around mid May.

Another thing that influences the above for me is having to deal with black barbers. Some of these niggas have egos you wouldn't believe, kinda hard to deal with.
