The pro's use Andis for lines and Osters for cuts....but it comes down to knowing what the fuck your doing, cause your favorite barber could still do a good job with some low grade shears he bought at Walmart, while u can have the best shears in the world and still do a shitty job.
I asked an old barber of mine what he'd do if the power went out while he was cutting someones hair, he said he could get still busy wit just barber scissors & a straight razor, it would just take longer. And one of my homies can line himself up from scratch using just a Gillette disposable razor...so it just depends on your skills.
*On a side note: every barber I know, just happens to be nice at drawing....I wonder if that's just coincidence
