SMMFH rappers need to find better financial advisors, niggas should NOT be going to jail for shit like this. You know what it is tho ? A lot of these clubs pay rappers in cash to do a show, and when they report it on their books for their taxes the IRS knows what went where, rappers on the other hand think that b/c they get it in cash it's not 'taxable' SMMFH. Another thing too is that rappers who live in certain states and tour another think that if they live in Florida & make 100k in NY it's subject to Florida tax laws - nope. If you live in Florida and you make 100k in NY you got to report to both districts (& if memory serves me you have to pay the State of NY taxes too). Of course it depends on what exactly it is you do to earn your money but this is a very common issue many athletes and entertainers get in trouble with and should not be.

This is some bullshit, Joe shouldn't have been hemmed up for something so petty like this. Somebody on his team dropped the ball.

My best friends Father in law is facing similar charges.. These fake ass accountants always act like they can save you some cash by using some obscure loop hole.. The IRS doesnt pay attention for years.. Then when they catch it.. You owe dough. If you dont have it to pay you get fined.. They sieze assets and throw you in jail... SOme bullshit if you ask me.. The accountant is never liable.. SMH

its the same as giving someone jail time for a few grams of weed ... its a victimless crime ... and nothing is more victimless than paying your taxes ... and whats even funny ... most of the tax invasion thats going on is INTERNAL its dudes that work for the gov doing more dirt with evading taxes and even steal tax money with in the government than it is ouchea on the soil amoungst the citizens ... most are just trying to maximize thier incomes so they can live ouchea ....................................... and the fact that Fat Joe paid what he owed and they still gave him time shows you how anal they are being about this situation .............. sad but true

I don't understand how a foreign company like the irs can put people in jail. All the tax money we pay goes overseas. If I was a celebrity I would take the gamble and convert to being a Moor.
