His transcendence to change his sounds to appease the White audience makes him whitewashed..

so more white people like Kanye now?
Or did no white people like Kanye before 2008?

Ye has ONE classic album. College dropout. The others are the same to me, though I prefer his music before 808 & Heartbreaks I still fucks with them all. I like his new flow, just miss his old subject matter.

That's a reasonable weigh in right there. I agree

No I'm not hating, but you're full of shit and can't refute the truth. Until you refute this:

Your arguments are null and void.

College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation Kanye>>>>>808 and Heartbreaks, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch The Throne Kanye.

You still haven't answered my question. Name a song on MBDTF other than Runaway that Kanye wasn't spitting. Name a beat that was wack.

His lyrics are much better now than they have ever been. On Kanye's first album, he made a song called "Workout," and he's selling out now?? His last album sounds less "mainstream" than anything he has ever released. It's cool when he was making songs with Jamie Foxx, T-Pain, Maroon 5, Coldplay and covering Daft Punk songs, but now he's selling out and white-washed? Who's really full of shit here...

Don't play dumb..unless you been living under a rock you should be able to tell the difference in his music.

Yeah, he's become more polished. Lol at you avoiding the question. All of Kanye albums except 808s have been great/classic in some cases

In addition, "Dark Fantasy", "Blame Game" and "Devil in a New Dress" are some of the most soulful songs Kanye has EVER made.

MY Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy does not have the replay value of his old shit. I respect the effort, but it is what it is. His subject matter has changed. He is trying to come off as some rap genius when his shit has been dumbed down.

why do ppl assume his newer stuff is aimed toward the white audience??..of course there's a difference between his sound before and after 808s, but i don't feel his newer sound is pop sounding or attempting to reach the white audience..Kanye still has soul in his music..

Compared to his old shit yes. I am not saying he is lil wayne or drake. But if u think he is spitting the same type of shit then... I was too harsh.

only on the IC do people discuss "replay value". Illmatic sounds dated, but its an album thats just as good in 2011 as it is in 1994. if you like an album then you should be able to play it anytime

I don't think he dumbed down his lyrics at all. In some ways they are even more complex than before. Its just that now Kanye thinks he can drop 32 bars with 3 mins of beats and be done. Ask yourself when was the last time he spit 3 verses consistenly.

There is not one aspect of Kanye's music that has been dumbed down. If anything, it is the exact opposite.

Like I said I was harsh. Go listen to LR and ask yourself if he has the same hunger, subject matter or whatever else u wanna call it.

I think he had more hunger on the last album, dude's back was against the wall after that Taylor Swift bullshit and mainstream America was shitting on him heavy. I think it comes across in the music, especially on songs like "Power" and "Gorgeous." he sounds like he's on some fuck the world shit.

But Late Registration is my favorite album besides the last one, both are classics in my book. But like Jay said, "niggas don't be mad, cause it's all about progression" and Nas said, "But it's always forward I'm moving, never backwards stupid here's another classic"
