Nobody is denying that, but I got to question the point of view of a black man that joins a police force and is shocked to that level. That shit is easy to see on a daily basis NOT being a cop, so to be surprised to see it in an area that's been historically racism, corrupt, and generally fucked up is more shocking than the actual racism to me. Especially from someone, as Dorner claimed, who experienced as much racism as he did throughout his whole life.

I don't think he was dumbfounded by it as much as he was enraged that him doing the right thing lead to him getting fired. I mean who would assume they could get terminated while having so much evidence to support your case.

But the better question is...

The thing that often gets lost in this police hate is the fact that these motherfuckas are flesh and blood just like you & I. I don't know why people act surprised that men & women are fcked up and flawed. We all the same. Anyone that argues that there aren't bad cops are just as ignorant as those that act like there aren't good ones.

I don't blame people that become police. They're probably slight narcissists in the sense that they probably view it as, "the best way to make a change for the better is from the inside out." Can't knock someone that desires to be a solution to a problem instead of someone that just complains about it.

Take issue w/ the fcked up police not those that knew there was a problem & made an effort to fix it but became overwhelmed. The only reason the good ones fail is b/c they don't get the support. The crooked ones have each others backs but who's backing the good ones? The public is supposed to have their backs but we never do. We're too busy showering ourselves in ignorance and condemning them all as if anything in life works that way. Not all is black and white. Until we come to this realization nothing will get better. The cycle continues.

To me that shows that as much as people try to deny it, they believe in and want it to be true that police are there to protect and serve and the anger comes from the disappointment of that not being a reality.
