RD >> Soul on Ice > IWW

All dope albums, IWW is like a 8/10 to me even tho it has some of nas' best work

All dope Albums but I can't agree with your argument. Personally I like RD and IWW over S.O.I. A part of Ras Kass getting love back then was due to the fact that he was from the West and many considered he had a East coast flow. It's was novel back then. It's almost like seing a White chick with a Fat ass. It's unusual so it gets more recognized.

this does'nt make any sense being that west got respect for being lyricist before ras kass like cube pac kurupt just to name a few so your agrument not only does'nt make any sense but it's weak so agrument is invalid.

I didn't say anything about lyrics... As you bolded I stated he had an East Coast Flow... I'm quite sure you know the difference, or should I say I hope...

classic album:yes. Better than IWW or RD, no. Maybe lyrically better than rd, but as far as replay value, production, and cohesiveness are concerned I don't agree. On the same not, like I said it is a classic so for niggas to be acting like this shit is blasphemy I don't agree with. To each his own though

lyrical CONTENT:
Soul on Ice >> RD, IWW

but flows, beats, songs, replay value, etc...:
RD, IWW >>> SOI

I co-signs this post. Soul On Ice is one of the best lyrically and written Hip Hop albums in the game, imo...the reason It Was Written didn't get the majority nod at the time it was released because everyone was expecting Illmatic..part two, but Nas was on some different shit and it let niggas down, but today it's considered one of Nas best albums. Reasonable Doubt was released around the same time as It Was Written, and made Jay's album a quiet blip on the radar. It wasn't until later on RD was recognized as one of Jay's best.

Definitely not better. Slightly worse in lyrical department and not even comparable in terms of production. Soul on Ice was moody and atmospheric, but some joints sounded straight boring.

Western Hemisfear, stand clear ock
Cause now the sun sets across six-hundred and six septillion tons
Come correct, I project like a telepathic caption
Four meters over soundwaves
I comes off with positions like pornographics
Twenty questions - animal, vegetable, or mineral
What am I? Atom - amphibian, invertebrate, or mammal?
Homosapien, specifically ock swell up like gout
then spread out like centrifugal force (what?)
Collision course reinforced with cylindrical wax
Axis spins at 33 RPM, that truly comprehend what fat is
That is, nine out of ten rappers today bore me with
predictable monosyllable drivel
I scribble incredible rhymes to rhythm, nepotism
Your prism couldn't invent
Too many MC's get deals from who ya down with, or where ya represent
But since I house more niggaz than section eight
State statements about your state
although my state of mind fornicates breaks
Your magazine ad got you souped up
Test-y like two nuts, marketing gimmicks
Catch wreck like Sam Kinison, convincingly
Cause what nigga got props in the industry don't really interest me
My motto is: the bigger they are, the more politics involved
And I revolve at a rate to make your occipital skull plate dissolve
Techniques delve deep..
(Slick Rick sample: "How much you'll never knooow")
Soo-oooooo, don't sleep; ock I rock phonics
that got you holdin my dick like your name was Lorena Bobbit

this whole verse makes me go holy shit !.
