Swiffness!

New member
pulled a jigga and announced it w/ a commercial during the MTV VMAs

I'm so tired of this "sequel to my most notable album" shit. It's such a obvious desperation move - I'm just waiting for Amil to announce "All Money Is Legal 2" lol.

No way this is gonna touch the original, Dre beats are pure wackness now, but hey, Rick Rubin + Em should be interesting.

And the fuck ever happened to that "Key to the City" song he did w/ DJ Premier?? We ever gonna get to hear that shit?

This mans music came from pain and desperation b. Aint no way he gonna be able to put himself in the mind state to come close to mmlp

He's playing a dangerous game calling it "Marshal Mathers II". I did feel like "Relapse" was "SSLP remix" and "Recovery" was "TES remix". So I guess it would make sense for him to revisit MMLP. But Eminem never really did a sequel even those his albums seem to have some constant themes over them. Dre and Rick Rubin, interesting. I wasn't feeling the Black Ops track or the track in the commercial, I will reserve judgement. I hope he tones down all the screaming and yelling and just rap. But Em you aren't that rapper anymore. If this album sounds anything remotely like MMLP he will be back to his old style and based on the tracks I've heard it's sounding more like Recovery/Relapse part 2.

shit will be a let down son dont spit that crazy shit, son lost his voice he is either always yelling or them damn accents

yea man what happened to dudes voice, why is he always yelling?

His voice sound closer to the old style in that clip tho.

idk the whole deterioration of his voice thing is so weird to me. Its not like he damaged it like D.O.C or anything. I have no idea why he doesn't use his old "default" voice no more.

Hopefully he only named it that b/c of the quality of music he's already recorded and not b/c of the quality of music he wants to be recording at.

i think the only sequel album that lived up to the original's name was

Only Built For Cuban Linx II

That's pretty much fact, last I checked.

inb4 J-Kwon - Hood Hop 2, Memphis Bleek - The Understanding 2, Chingy - Jackpot 2....

Cuban Linx II was about 4 MICS. Cuban Linx was 5 MICS. Close but not close enough but was a solid release. Though they didn't take on "Part II" and the name of their originals. "Life After Death" and "STILLmatic" delivered as sequels. "Blueprint 2" not so much. "Vol 2: Hard Knock Life" was a Blockbuster sequel. "Carter II" was better than the original. "Tical 2000" had it's moments but was hit or miss. "War Report 2" was forgettable. For the most part the sequels haven't lived up to their predecessors but some have.

The album can be trash and still will sell

Recovery sold over 7mill and Relapse sold over 5mill

Em stans fans will cop anything he puts out

Cuban linx 2 was more then a 4 mic album though. It was 4.9 and will be a classic in a few years.

And oh yea, fuck your opinion b.
