Eddie Murphy has the WOAT career trajectory

Through the 80s and 90s Eddie Murphy's career is legendary. As much as I don't like a lot of the movies since (tho I fuck with Shrek and I Spy), I feel he wanted that family movie bread. Fuck it, he deserves it.

He's got enough classic shit to make me overlook it.

Bowfinger was lowkey good tho

i didnt understand it at first, but it grew on me

Nothing lowkey about it it was blatantly good. Hands down the last time that both Eddie and Steve Martin were consistently funny.

Bill Murray aint made Jack that can F with Boomerang, Coming to America, 48 Hours, Life, Trading Places, or BHC 1 and 2. That includes Caddy Shack and Stripes.

Ghostbusters come on fam....Scrooged....Groundhog Day......What about Bob....rushmore. ...lost in translation

What about Bob is classic GOAT status

the only reason why i said lowkey was because at the time...iirc, it wasnt getting that much run...but over the years, more and more people started saying they liked it

T/s a fuck nigga for disrespecting the GOAT. This damn near like saying Michael Jackson had the worst career trajectory of all time. Eddie was the 3rd biggest nigga on the planet after both the Mikes. Ain't nowhere to go but down from there.

Eddie Murphy ain't skeet in ya moms...he aint ya pops ya'll niggas get way too emotional over ppl who don't know you exist

I don't think it matters man. Here we go with this perception over perspective shit. What does Eddy have to prove in 2016 ?? He influenced Dave Chappelle and Kevin Hart and opened the doors for Kevin Hart. One day Kevin's career is going to slow down and he'll have to go behind the scenes. Eddy has classics, and its crazy this thread was made because just yesterday I was thinking about Raw and Delirious being my favourite stand-ups and coming to America being one of my favourite movies.

Eddy did it all, let him lay back and enjoy the game and the fruits of his labour. Niggas have to realise he doesn't live for your personal amusement 24/7 365 if y'all had Eddy's pockets you'd be coasting off the coast of Miami with a bad yamp cooking you fish and hooking up all your desires. Come on now......

Money ain't everything bruh

His shitty movies really lost him more money than gained. ...it destroys his brand name thousand words was his last film and that was in 2014

Maybe but he really doesn't have to make another movie again. He's built his legacy.

His legacy was solidified before he even turned 25.

His legacy would've been even greater if he didn't have all those stupid ass movies on his resume. Nigga has more bad movies than good

Nah back in '99 it got solid reviews (even remember Ebert almost giving it a 4/4 on his site) and actually made decent bank. I remember when I saw it at the flicks the entire theater was in stitches. One of the last great comedy experiences I had at the theater thanks to that audience.

"Oh there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin 'bout boxing, a white man got to pull Rocky Marciano out their ass. That's their one, that's their one. Rocky Marciano. Rocky Marciano. Let me tell you something once and for all. Rocky Marciano was good, but compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain't shit"

Its like a got damn barbershop in here
