Wii U is this generation's Dreamcast a niche console that has an excellent game library with some of the most innovative & critically acclaimed titles of it's gen.

Na you're trying to sound like you know what you're talking about (as usual) but you're just stupid and generalizing. I know plenty of people who've stopped playing because they think it's redundant, borng grindfest. And I still play it but it is a redundant grindfest. Doesn't always have to do with people to play with.

I gotta give it to Bungie, they make kick ass trailers for that Destiny game. My friends back home got in to it heavy, so I bought it again after trading it in. They gonna be talking about this "Taken King" shit every time we play now.

I mean, it's not a bad game. But the company is ridiculously holding out for long term profits look like. They made a full game and then chopped it up to sell for some two year plan. It's so obvious it's almost embarassing.

Do you have any idea the amount of money that was invested in to this game? it's flat out ridiculous. In other words they really had no choice.

Man, there had to be other ways...lore friendly and sensible ways to do that at least. For consistency if nothing else.

I don't know if you've played, but for those that have, the single player campaign for instance. Play through as an Awoken race and it becomes obvious they wrote that shit for an Exo. Each race (human, exo, awoken) had their own campaign according to a leak. But nah, they just copy and pasted one story for all three like nobody would be the wiser.

I don't know what these devs go through, but shit like that just looks lazy.

I haven't played it. I'm not interested in that type of game. However I know that half a billion dollars was invested into it and there's no way the investors would even want to lose a quarter of a billion let alone half.

That's just how things go with corporate AAA games in a capitalist world. Too much shadiness with too many incomplete games being put on shelves with backdoors to the rest of the games via DLC's. It's a bit too out of hand and was a big reason I had left the PC gaming community back in 2001. It's a shame that it's been plaguing consoles for almost a decade now even if it was inevitable.

It's actually a big reason I skipped the last gen and only have limited myself mostly to indie games on 3DS and it's regular software output for the most part. With the occasional Wii U or PS4 sessions every other day when I visit my cousins and stuff.

I can acknowledge they put out some cool original games, but I cant bring myself to be interested in it anymore. Someone here posted that nintendo is like pro wrestling; unless my kids get into it, I'll likely never really fucks with it again. That sums it up for me pretty well.
