disappointed no new Borderlands, Red Dead, or a football game from 2k was announced

that doesnt mean those arent in development, but still...would've been nice to know they were coming out even if it wasnt this year. I think Red Dead releases next year while Rockstar lets GTA 5 cook some more.

What's so great about FF7 that so many people want a remake? Is it nostalgia? I'm assuming it was most people's first RPG or something. I played it late and was already familiar with the story so I didn't see anything special about it. Played it after Crisis Core and I thought Crisis Core was better.

Most people including Final Fantasy's own producer feel that the SNES games are the ones that should be remade next over the other Playstation ones.

“Considering that we have remakes of Final Fantasy up to IV and then we have VII — I’ve been working with Mr. [Yoshinori] Kitase since Final Fantasy V, and we’ve noticed that V and VI are missing. That bothers me,” Tetsuya Nomura said. “How come we skipped over those two?”

They need to get up on that quickly cause old school 16 bit is outdated for most of the kids today that belong to the mobile generation and because they never got a proper remake outside of IV. That plus VI is the second most popular game behind VII and a lot of fans personal favorite (including mine). It will easily recoup.

As for VII. It did bring a lot of fans to the series & thanks to spinoffs like Advent Children and Crisis Core picked up new ones along the way. So it makes perfect business sense. It's gonna make them easy money and Square needs that.
