All you have do is acknowledge that drake is a pop diva, more similar to Rita Ora than a rapper and that he steals songs and I won't call you a Stan

After the Drake shit I went doing research on songwriting on rap, the shit was/is mad prevalent it's just niggas didn't read the credits or cared.
The DOC wrote a lot of songs for niggas (including DJ Quik), Cube for Mac 10 and WC, 50 Cent wrote half The Documentary, T.I. for Iggy Azalea. It's like niggas finding out TV is not real or Wrestling is Fake. This is the Reason tho, niggas want to believe everybody raps and lives everything they rap about SMMFH.
Nigga this is all common knowledge. That was used as fuel for the Gunit beef. There's levels to this shit. Ain't nobody saying Mac 10 gonna go down as one of GOATS, and him having ghostwriters is one of those reasons. Ain't nobody saying P Diddy going down as one of the GOATS and one of the reasons is because he had ghostwriters. You can't make the claim that you're the best to do it in Hip Hop, yet the reasons you invalidate one person for contender(P Diddy, Mac 10) is overlooked in another's defense(Kanye).
What you and everyone else who defend this behavior are basically saying that good ghostwriting=acceptable and bad ghostwriting =not acceptable in regards to being a contender for the GOAT list.
Fight back.
No you're being choosey. Eazy-E, Kanye, Kim, Game have all expressed they were "the best", some of these so called greats are considered GOATs. So if Eazy & Kanye are considered so & no one disputes it, why is it that Drake is when he says it ? You can't have it one way & denounce another b/c you dont like them.
I never said that or made such a claim, I was always of the ilk that it didn't matter, b/c purists dont dictate whose GOAT to this generation of fans & if they did Meek would have won the battle. I'm I gonna stop listening to Jesus Walks or The Documentary hell nah. Drake wont be the last rapper to have songs written for him and found out about. Never understood how a rapper can have a universal classic album with KNOWN writers but all of a sudden if you know he didn't write a song it's no longer one LOLOL - nothing changes the fact it's classic. McGuire is still a hall of famer.

Would it change the fact that Game still had someone write it for him ??? Why is that OK but not songwriting in general ? That's like someone cheating saying "she only played w/ his dick but they didn't suck/fuck". Songwriting is still songwriting and yall gotta come to grips that it happens in music and likely more common than yall want to believe.

Bruh you know as well as I do that all we give a fuck about is bars. I don't give a flying fuck who wrote the hook because that's not supposed to be what we checkin for...
Oh for sure but it doesn't change the fact it's still song-writing - credited or not. That's why I said this generation of fans don't care because by the same token as long as the song is hot and charts they don't give a fuck. And as long as Drake gets paid a hefty sum I doubt he or Kanye give a fuck either.

Nelly was a sample, Pharrell is even credited on there. Future is even credited on facts.

Game was signed to Aftermath a little after 50 if not before, but was about to get the Rakim treatment before Fif agreed to give him those records. That's also the reason he put him on G Unit. So yeah, 50's assistance may have made The Documentary better, but it's not like Game couldn't make those records by himself. The label just didn't have faith in him putting it out by himself. Also, 50 said he wrote the hooks for Church For Thugs and Special, but he isn't credited. Weird.
Oh I agree, and by your analysis I don't think people should say ALL of Drake's shit is written for him or that he isn't capable of penning his own shit either.

Hell yea, even Crossroads by Bone Thugs had some unknown writer in the credits
The only rapper i remember having a full album with only them as the writer is LaRon James

Same here. I said that in the beginning of this whole Drake/Meek situation. The only subtle difference is that Drake is an established artist that used an underground rapper's energy (no pun intended) to keep his momentum going. This whole ghostwriting thing has gotten too messy for me to comment on in one thought... I'll just say you can't take these "artists" too seriously at the end of the day. They're presenting you art, not spittin a freestyle on the corner.
^^^ and this ladies and gentleman is the post of the month and sig worthy af. I wish I could GOAT + COSIGN your post. Great post fam, the bolded I cosign 100% and respect to the highest degree.
