During the Grammies pre-show when they announced the nominees it took them 2 minutes each time to name all of the songwriters on "All Day". After the Drake shit I went doing research on songwriting on rap, the shit was/is mad prevalent it's just niggas didn't read the credits or cared.

The DOC wrote a lot of songs for niggas (including DJ Quik), Cube for Mac 10 and WC, 50 Cent wrote half The Documentary, T.I. for Iggy Azalea. It's like niggas finding out TV is not real or Wrestling is Fake. This is the Reason tho, niggas want to believe everybody raps and lives everything they rap about SMMFH.

Nigga this is all common knowledge. That was used as fuel for the Gunit beef. There's levels to this shit. Ain't nobody saying Mac 10 gonna go down as one of GOATS, and him having ghostwriters is one of those reasons. Ain't nobody saying P Diddy going down as one of the GOATS and one of the reasons is because he had ghostwriters. You can't make the claim that you're the best to do it in Hip Hop, yet the reasons you invalidate one person for contender(P Diddy, Mac 10) is overlooked in another's defense(Kanye).

What you and everyone else who defend this behavior are basically saying that good ghostwriting=acceptable and bad ghostwriting =not acceptable in regards to being a contender for the GOAT list.

Game was signed to Aftermath a little after 50 if not before, but was about to get the Rakim treatment before Fif agreed to give him those records. That's also the reason he put him on G Unit. So yeah, 50's assistance may have made The Documentary better, but it's not like Game couldn't make those records by himself. The label just didn't have faith in him putting it out by himself. Also, 50 said he wrote the hooks for Church For Thugs and Special, but he isn't credited. Weird.

Same here. I said that in the beginning of this whole Drake/Meek situation. The only subtle difference is that Drake is an established artist that used an underground rapper's energy (no pun intended) to keep his momentum going. This whole ghostwriting thing has gotten too messy for me to comment on in one thought... I'll just say you can't take these "artists" too seriously at the end of the day. They're presenting you art, not spittin a freestyle on the corner.
