Honestly, there's no point in debating with you, fam ...It's really pointless. I don't think your sorry excuse of an argument holds no weight and you probably think the same of mine...like you said, it's all opinions but I was around and old enough to witness the MMLP hype (not assuming you weren't). From what I witnessed, it didn't have staying power...plain and simple. And what's ironic is, he bitches about the downfall about mainstream music and how much it sucks on that album, yet later on he's part of the problem. lol

Comic albums really is the perfect description. Never understood the hype about SSLP, either - the skits are corny, the cd is full of filler around the middle, it tries too hard to be humorous, and his whiny, high-pitched voice is so irritating it gives you a damn headache. My Fault, Come On Everybody, I'm Shady and the abominable My Name Is (do people really listen to this trash?) were nothing short of abysmal. Since when is an album fraught with puerile shock content, senseless profanity, & lame-ass murder tales a classic? I don't give a fuck what some nerdy, pale-faced critic believes in a review or how popular the shitty album is among the white population. I'll take an album known for its influence on peers, impact on the game, and importance in redefining a sound (like The Infamous) over a clown album known for how much it sold. For me, it's nowhere fucking near a 5/5 effort. Just another mediocre, overhyped clown album that received far more attention than it deserved.
