Dmx = Top 40 which means there's 39 emcees better

Name them please...........

No particular order......

Nas, Ghost Meth, Red, Jay, Face, Pac, Biggie, Big L, Doom, Tip, Dre 3K Bun, Cube, Rakim, Kane, LL, Lupe, Common, Black Thought, Masta Ace, Chuck D,

Jadakiss, Slick Rick, Pun, G. Rap, KRS,

Talib Kweli, Prodigy, Styles P, AZ,

8Ball, Em, Mos Def, MURS, Busta, Canibus Big Boi, Buckshot

Wow, just wow.....MF Doom over DMX?? Prodigy?? Styles P??! Questionable list, though there's alot of respectable names there, I can't put that many over DMX but to each his own. A lot of the artists you named there are dope but few of them have two or 3 classic albums. As much as I like Mos Def, I can't put him over X either.

I think niggas puttin a rank on everything take away from certain artists greatness. Niggas like DMX, Pimp C, Pac, even old dirty transcend ranking because theyre not the most lyrical, but their authenticity, and/or charisma take them a place most lyricists cant.

X aint in no top 10 lyrically, but you wont find another nigga like him makin music. He gritty to the bone, you can feek that shit in his rhymes. Canibus better than x lyrically, but canibus cant make slippin.

DMX could possibly crack my top 15

Off top

Pac

Nas

Jay-Z

KRS

Ice Cube

Treach

Chuck D

Tech N9ne

Lupe

Jay Elec

DMX comes in at

Number 11:

Unfortunately no! His first album is a classic and a landmark in hip hop however, X never "grew" to me, he just remained stagnant and his last album sounded like he recorded it on my laptop!

In terms of pure skill I got Mos over DMX...despite DMX having the better catalogue. I was tripping with MF Doom if I could revise I would have DMX as Top 30. With only 29 emcees better than him

Why is X constantly making homo ass statements in his songs? Seriously, dude accused Ja Rule of being a faggot, but dude stay telling another man to suck his dick.

Name me a rapper from the 90s that didn't say shit like that.

Yeah I'm no fan of rappers telling other men to suck their dick, hopefully it's a trend that totally goes away someday. To be fair though, it was very common to say in the 80s and 90s, so we can't hold that against DMX too much
