I can tolerate a weird voice if they got bars (Freeway, Kendrick) but wack rappers with terrible voices are a complete turnoff (Boosie, Magoo)

Most retarded premise its damn near the most important thing musik is sound...an them lil voice niggas in hiphop have all most ruined every thing let ya nutts hang alice

@Jamaica, you right, but even good niggas can make awful choices with their voice. Eminem is the prime example...and K Dot be shooting himself in the foot with shit like that. 'Bitch Don't My Kill Vibe'? No nigga, you be the one killing your own vibe haha

Shoot niggas can't help how their voice sou des for the most part stuff like that don't bother me.

LOL I always think of when Ye was saying Jay felt like rappers like Method,Guru, nas with rough voices had "the good voice" and we've gradually become accustomed to the weak/softer/less rough(no diss) voice now

I don't think a lot of my fav rappers have the best voices but they spit

kendrick doesn't have a stand out voice to me but that boy be spittin that shit

Kanye,Royce,Lupe are all dope niggas they don't have a classically interesting voice IMO

Hate it or love it Game,Jada,Nas,Jeezy,Xzibit,Rakim have ill interesting voices

Like I said, rappers make conscious choices with how they use their voice, and it doesn't always turn out well^^

Yes, it ultimately matters as it's your first interaction of sorts with the artist. Being a rapper myself, people hear my Australian accent and are intrigued to a degree. It can be a gift or a curse B-)

Yes but some rappers voices carry their entire career. for example eazy-e, snoop

Big had a unique voice. And Pac a reconizable. Bet you never had to ask "who's that?" when one of their songs are playing

a dope voice can sound...fuck it..its essentially another instrument...just flowing w/ and complimenting w/ the music

i think that description fits guru and rakim alot in hip hop

and guys like issac hayes...hell yea
