Do you honestly think Pusha T is going to blow up?

he can get close to gold... he has a grassroots following... and he has the Kanye cosign... him and the GOOD team just need to follow the correct formula...

Not like Kendrick, Cole, and Sean, but he's gonna make a damn good album with moderate success. Thats all I expect. He along with Big Boi have been the most consistent quality rappers

Why didn't that work for Common's last two albums then and Common is way more exposed than Pusha is nowadays with his acting career?

Common alienated a lot of people with the Finding Forever so he fell out of the spotlight until The Dreamer came out. He got a lot of buzz but that was released in 2011 and people are fickle. Not even Kanye is selling like he sold in his earlier years. I don't think PushaT has the same crossover appeal as the other guys. He has to get on some black hippy or sensitive shit and he needs far more diverse raps or at least talk about bitches and weed.

I dont really think he cares since he is an established drug king pin and all, rap is just something he does on the side.

Honestly? No. I like Pusha and I think he's carved himself his little spot that's lot of rappers would enjoy having but that's it. He'll drop a dope album that will be moderately successful and that's it.

Nope dude is dam near 40 rapping like it's still 1989. It's too late to establish yourself as that type of artist at this point in his career. Especially in terms of blowing up. Pusha is pretty well known but I'm just not sure that he's gonna blow and push big numbers sales wise. He might do big sean numbers b/c they weren't' that impressive. But Sean has had a lot of success with his singles. Now when him and Malice get back together he will get more of a buzz b/c that's what his core fans already admire about him. time will tell

No, and as much as I like Pusha I think his solo work has been overrated. Neither one of his mixtapes got consistent burn. Yea he makes some good shit, most recently "blocka" and "pain" but lets not act like this shit touching what he did with the clipse....

nope.... he pigeonholed himself into a niche.....and took too long from his clipse days... his fan base is older and younger fans who buy music dont fuck with him like that.... He gonna have to drop a hell of a single.... maybe 2 with ye and have Jay colab on one to go gold

Depends on how you define blow up. I don't think he'll reach the status of a Kendrick, J. Cole etc, but my suggestion to him would be to follow the lane of a Big Boi, Raekwon etc. Meaning, keeping your core fanbase satisfied following your niche but without being afraid of trying new things, as long as it ain't too far left.

Don't try to fit in with the current shit in the game cuz you'll disappoint your older fans and won't go too far with the newer fans since you'll sound like one in a million.

nah its ova for him he been in da mainstream since 02 nigga in his 30's rappin da same topics he cant get a more broad audience like dat in 2013 its a wrap
