I personally don't think any of polygamy or monogamy are perfect institutions but the world is filled up of differently wired individual humans and everyone has the right to choose what works for them

However it seems in this thread there's a backlash against those who favour polygamy and it's generating feelings

In 2014, almost 2015, no one here who is pro polygamy is oppressing women. We are not going out and forcing anyone to marry us. Infact, im sure anyone who supported polygamy in here does not give a fuck if a woman wants to marry and be family orientated or be single and career orientated. Everyone has the right to do whatever they want. Thats what equality is. You have the right to be a mother at 20 and live in your house and raise your kids, and you also have the right to not be a mother till 30, and also the right to never be a mother. Nobody pro polygamy here said we are going to force women to do anything they want. You can do whatever the fuck you chose to and no one forcing you otherwise.

On the flipside, it goes without saying that, if I have a wife, and my wife is cool with me having a second wife, and I find a girl who is cool with me being married to my wife, and is cool with coming in and being my second wife then she and I and my wife should have the right to arrange such living conditions. Same goes for 3rd 4th and 5th etc... If me and my partner and partners are ok with it who the fuck is anyone to say we cant do it?

if down the line one of the wives ends up wanting a divorce and we cant fix whatever issues we might have then she is entitled to her right to divorce. Same way divorces happen in monogamous relationships.

Aint nobody here said that women should only be stay at home and no work, and do everything a man says. Aint no one talk of oppressing women. Atleast in any post I read, and I only read about half the posts here. All we saying is everyone has the right to do what they want, but these are the rules that I will communicate to any woman who wants to be my partner and it will be her decision if she wants to accept it or not, through her free will. Im sure there will also be rules and principles she has that she will communicate to me. And then I also have the right to accept or say nah this relationship aint happening. This is what equality is.
