If I had a partner I would never ask her to be monogamous. I would want her to have sex and romantic relationships with other people if it would make her happier, I'd identify with her pleasure. For all my faults I'm not a naturally jealous or envious person, there was a time when I actually felt the need to try to be jealous or hold onto what little jealousy I felt but the idea of my wife having sex or being in love with other men doesn't bother me at all, it turns me on (or at the very least I would be neutral to it if I disliked the other men).
