You speak as if there is one group of aliens, human beings exists by many races and there are good and bad people in those races. What makes you think aliens wouldn't be the same, varying species and good/bad ones amongst them.

As for their own religion, i doubt creatures of that scientific advancement would lower themselves to such things as organize religion. I'm sure they would be on some enlightenment type thinking.

its possible they haven't even developed the weaponry to destroy us. maybe they are still stuck in their version of the stone age and haven't even come close to understanding space travel. its also possible that they have tried unsuccesfully to kill us on several occasions. and it would be strange with no religion since religion has existed in some form or another at almost every point in human history. i don't know why aliens living on another planet would be much different than us in that regard.

If a group of beings have managed time travel to get to Earth from millions of miles away, i'm pretty sure weaponry isn't a problem.

If a group of beings are millions of miles away, technically they are millions of years more advanced than us too. They wouldn't be on no caveman stage, the Universe is expanding and the further alien planets are away from us the more advance they are than us.

that's exactly my point. anyone can come up with any scenario for how they view aliens and they wont be wrong b/c there is nothing to base it against. you can say they are all elephants...or all 12 foot tall marshmallow men...or they are an army of highly skilled assasins who are plotting on the destruction of earth... There can be a planet just starting out with some form of intelligent life and there can be a planet in which that intelligent life is millions of years ahead of us.

I do think we've been visited by at them, more than one species too. If they wanted us dead, we would be. The fact is, the technology required to travel extremely far distances is high, higher than what we have. Our weapon technology is pretty damn out there and we should expect them to be way more advanced. So if they wanted to kill us, they would've. Biological would seem fitting.

The reason why I say they would have no religion is simple, their evolution into being so highly advanced wouldn't need to rely on a god or gods. Look at most scientists now, they are mainly atheists. What makes you think beings, smarter than our guys, would believe in a god?
