Do you believe in aliens?

why does that number cap at 1 trillion?

and just because something occurs (intelligent life) at one point (earth) in infinite amount of space doesn't mean that it occurs again anywhere else.

It's gonna be fucked up if an alien invasion actually happens. We're gonna be praying for our lives, and all they hear is the equivalent to us hearing a dog bark.

that video is speculation that is no different than someone claiming that we are the only 'people' who exist. or no different than someone saying there are 100 trillion planets as opposed to the 1 trillion.

you're right matt, like always 8-|, i'm tired today okay, go bother someone else

and that vid wasn't for you in particular it was just general. i believe the thread asked if i believed in aliens, not convince matt to believe in them.

my bad...i misread the thread title

Every little thing we know about the universe is just theories. Absolutely no facts

you're one of those morons who says shit like "evolution is just a theory" huh?

how bout this, why don't you walk off a ten story balcony since gravity is just a theory

did you take science classes in high school? i weep for the american educational system

The fuck are you talking about? Where did evolution and gravity come into play? Stop making up your own dumbass scenarios and re read my shit. I was talking about the size of the universe, big bang theory, other lifeforms, shit like that. They are all theories because every scientist has a different point of view. You just brought religion in for your stupid pleasure. Keep seeing what you wanna see.

I do. There is no possible way there are all those stars out there, and not a single one is like our star and has a planet that can support life.

Yes there is. It's unlikely, but it is possible.

I personally think there is life out there

but that it is not like movies portray, where their species is crazy intelligent and technologically beyond ours

I think the chances of that are slim& most likely aliens are on some ferocious animal type dinosaur tip

Earth is in what they call goldie locks position in space. Not too far where its too cold for life to exist, not too close where its too hot for life. Its just right in that comfort zone. The odds that other planets are in that same comfort zone in other solar systems is not too good. Uranus is laying on its side along with a big gash on the center of it, neptune and pluto seem to be effected by the gravity of a large planet beyond the sun's rays can reach. The asteroid belt is most likely a planet that was destroyed by whatever it was that crashed into uranus. Just in our solar system alone, is questions we cannot fully answer.

The big bang theory and creation doesn't even seem right to me either. One theory says 2 people populated the whole Earth (smh) and another theory says all the right things needed to happen for Earth to exist ( accretion, two planets colliding, the right temperature, volcanism, etc).

To me there is more to the story than that.

It would be crazy if the stories of alien abductions were actually true, the abductors were children, and their parents came to earth and apologized for the actions of their offspring. Kind of like human children fuckin with small animals and other shit children do.

Evolution does seem probable, but the process is supposed to take millions of years. Modern man took less than 100,000 years to our current evolution. That is not on par with other life forms

but we don't know the probability of our universe coming into existence. It's like rolling a die, but we don't know how many sides the die has

The odds of everything being right for evolution is slim to none, we're close enough to the sun but not too far away from the sun. There had to be many things to happen right for Earth to exist, it's just to coincidental imo.

I'm of the opinion that human beings and our evolution have been genetically altered and aided along the way.
