to me much of maturity is in our control of our emotions and impulses, our ability to behave rationally instead of responding reflexively. also, the ability to empathize with others.... with that being said studies have shown that girls begin puberty approximately two years before boys. during which their brains make the all-important hook-up between the emotion center of the brain and the language / reason-rationality center of the brain.... so i do think there is some truth to it....

however one's attitude towards marriage or one's hobbies for the most part is not really a great indicator of maturity or lack thereof...a woman could want to marry and have children at an early age but that doesn't make her any more mature than the middle aged bachelor. she could be marrying whoever to please her family or to impress her friends or because she didn't want to be alone, which in my eyes is a sure sign of immaturity... the middle aged bachelor could have a great career, fiscally responsible, a great friend, son, father, brother, etc and a video game player but he's single because he knows he isn't the marrying type...what's so immature about that?

That's true for some things but not for everything. I liked playing basketball when I was 12. Does that mean when I go hit up the court on the weekend's I'm being childish? My nieces like painting each other's nails. Does that mean when they grow up and got get their nails done at a shop, they are being childish. Not everything you do as a child is something you have to grow out of. Some things you enjoy throughout your life without change. And others you enjoy with a little refinement.

Your whole point seems to be that since guys play video games and watch cartoons, they are immature and acting like they are 12. That's stupid. Because both video games and cartoons are things that can and are aimed at multiple age demographics. Clearly if a video game has an MA rating, it is not intended for a child. So tell me this, if a video game is developed with a mature audience in mind, how does playing it make you immature? Does that make any sense to you?

You know what is immature? Simplemindedness. Children have a hard time dealing complexities. No offense but your stance seems to be as simpleminded a manner of addressing this issue as could possibly exist.

You need to understand that what women find mature and men find mature arent going to be the same. Men have the upper hand in society and as long as thats the case men are going to look to women for what they want. Something young and tight bodied that knows how to be submissive and carry themselves like a lady is supposed to. When that expires you let her go and go get you a new model.

And most men do it, no matter what position they hold in life. So are they immature or is your feeling of not being sought after as you get older immature? Wanting to be the prom queen and hog the spotlight all the time is immature....being emotional over nothing is immature. Women are creatures of convenience they want to be catered to and treated like a lady during the day, but want to be an independent woman roaming the streets looking for a boss at night.

There are exceptions though..but like a poster said a long time ago; "women are like tall children...just treat them like that and you won't have problems."

I wasnt looking for attention I was looking for a discussion and for you to answer my questions/reponses to your posts.

But I'll be the mature just for argument sake and agree that men who do excatly what you say above are tottaly mature.. I hope this is what your daughter (if you have or ever have one) looks for in a husband. You are toally right, 25 cents.
