I like Wale a lot. I dont care where a nigga reps, its about good music to me and he makes pretty good music. I didnt like when I first seen him, but that wasnt about his music, I thought he was one of them corny hipster rappers(and I didnt like his first mixtape, wasnt really hate, I just thought it was medicore. But after I heard a couple of random joints, I was like this dude got some lyrics and flow). I know he gets hate now since he came up, but thats with anything in life not just rap. People always hate on people who obtain success. Might be that crab in a bucket syndrome lol

Well as far as a major deal, I think he shoulda went another route. A lot of niggas been offered major deals, most just turn it down usually cause of this crooked ass industry lol. But what does that have to do with his music for one, and two why can't you see that by showing him love you are helping get every artist in DC more exposure. You think record labels and people that look for talent dont see that Wale cant even get support from this area? Why would they waste any money trying to find and grow new talent just to have a bunch of people who are all in their feelings working to hold them back.

I am not saying support kiddie porn, Kelly never got another penny out of me after he pee'd on that girl. I am talking about things like complaining how he does his business. Even if it was true, we dont know what all goes on behind the scenes. Plus I am sure plenty of successful artists that we listen to probably have a person or two who felt like they got screwed over. As far as where he is from, look at Luda. Yeah you will hear occasionally that he isnt really from Atlanta but I guarantee you if he put out a banger, you will hear it all over ATL, in the clubs, cars and radio stations.
Its not about being put on through something fake...its not about Wale personally bringing people up. Its showing that DC is a profitable area when it comes to music. Wale has basically made it despite DC, not because of it. So why would anyone want to invest any time or money into an area that doesnt support its own? Not saying the reasons arent valid (although I dont think they are) but record companies arent listening to all that, they look at numbers and all they will see is we dont support.
