Just saw it. I would say it's a solid movie. It has some great humor in it - the scene with Jonah hill right before they get sneak attacked had me dying.

It is a long flick, but it actually didn't feel like almost 3 hours while watching it.

I was disappointed in how the writer chose to end the deal-scenario. I would have done it differently.

I give it a solid 7/10 though

some great brain splattering scenes, good social commentary and some first class comedy in there

I thought it was too long and I didn't find most of the comedy parts funny. I'm not gonna sit here and act like Spike Lee cause this shit is entertainment, period. I just didn't really like the film. Christoph Waltz was the best part of the movie and Leo even surprised me with the one specific scene at the dinner table. Dude has come a long way since that terrible performance in Titanic. But at the end of the day with all Tarantino films besides Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction I didn't care for any of the characters and was just waiting for it to end.

I'm sure a lot of people will like this but I gotten to the point with Tarantino that he's just not for me. I want him to get out of his box and do something like Jackie Brown his best film IMO but he just won't. Definitely not hating on anyone that liked this but for me this was a waste of time.

The KKK scene was hilarious.

lol I knew somebody was gonna make a reference to that. One of the highlights of the film. All in all very good movie. If your a fan of qt movies you'll know what too expect. Over the top violence with captivating and intense dialogue scenes. And while everybody was up in arms about it not being respectful to slavery because it had a spaghetti western style, it didn't flinch in showing the brutality of slavery as well. It did drag a bit in the middle but all in all I give it an 7.5/10. Can't wait t see it again

from those who have seen the movie already, do you think the reviews are moreso a showing of white guilt/trying to be PC because they don't wana be "that guy" who spoke badly about a slave movie? or is the movie really inglourious basterds good?

I liked it better than inglorious basterds. I think it is largely because the sub plot of that lady who works at the cinema really bored the shit out of me, despite the fact that lunatics usually amuse me.

Inglorious basterds felt long when I was watching it - this didn't really.

I'm actually not a big QT fan. There are some abrupt deaths that you have to expect from QT, he has them in all his movies, its just his style of violence. But I really thought this was an awesome movie, and the soundtrack was also awesome.

It was better than Inglorious Bastards. Easily.

I'm really not a fan of QT, but I really liked this movie. Soundtrack was awesome, stylized violence added nothing but was still cool, abrupt deaths that are in all QT movies didn't bother in this movie like they did in others, and some of the dialogue was hilarious.

The scene where Don Johnson was bitching about the masks was hilarious.

Jamie Foxx did the damn thing. "I like the way you die, boy"
