It's funny. Racist ass white folks want black folks to put racism behind us.

The majority did and believe there's no racism.

Yet racist ass white folks continuously say and do racist shit under the guise of...

"its funny, laugh at our pain that we shared, but if you get mad...you're still stuck in the past. And YOU might be the one that's racist. Forgive and forget, right?"

No maphuka. What a mindfuck, really...

that shit was hilarious

when django rode up and samuel jackson saw him for the dirst time that shit was stupid funny

i cant lie at times i got pissed, and wanted to slap a cracka

but they made up for those feelings by killin nothin but slave owners, shit had me clappin lol

django is a role model

when that nigga put that blue suit on i died laughin

So how did niggas feel when white folks were cracking the fuck up in the theaters? Or did yall just didn't give a fuck? I'm just asking...

you think imma put money in that cracka pocket, especially for a movie with slavery with in it

Nah bruh fuck I look like puttin my money in the hands of some jew to watch a spoof of slavery?

Watched that shit on bootleg...and everytime I heard nigga and when that black female slave called that cracca

big daddy...my soul was burnin slow as fuck.

After reflecting on this movie again I have another big gripe with it.

The scene where Django convinces the Aussies to let him free and they give him a gun... shit was lame. That basically led to him being able to accomplish his goals in the end and it was such a shitty way to get it done.

Reminds me of the part in Inglorious Basterds when the german commander lets the jews win the war with the promise that he will be written down in history and receive immunity as well as a US citizenship

Both plots find resolution in antagonists being too trusting. It was lame. No sane person would have given Django a gun.

Question: If I'm to understand this correctly, the word nigger was used repeatedly, yet

white people still found it humorous. Does that bother anyone? Why or why not?
personally NO.

asking that question, is like asking how one can one laugh and find things humorous in a world that's reigned by white supremacy???

yet i can't laugh @ a word ,that they used to demean us. yet really has no power, unless I give it the power to mean shit?

the niggaz who's bothered, are the niggaz who still see themselves as subordinate to whites.

me knowing the science of the melanin, the ether 9 and so forth. i'm not bothered by that.

do u think a cracker could of bothered an African, by calling him nigger in the 1400's?

NO

WHY? cause the African wasn't fazed, the African had his own power dynamic, and was an equal.

the reason why niggaz are bothered now is cause, when they get called nigger & they look around there reality . they think " damn i am a nigger", and quickly become offended.

yet they don't understand that change starts in the mind, before everything else. perception is reality.

once u change how u think, u see things differently, and once u see differently u move different. and that's how u make a difference N change things.

Never was interested in the movie. And that's before Spike Lee spoke up about it. I just wasn't in the mood for a comedic film set in slavery times, made by a white dude.

I know that it is a lot of money. But I also know those Aussies were aware of Django, what he had done, and that he would probably be wanting revenge. They just went along with it so easily it seemed like poor writing to me.

I agree for the most part. That scene was hilarious and the limits need to be pushed. Hopefully this pushes future films in the right direction.

I would love to see a director make a film about Haiti winning independence. That is some definite award winning material right there.
