co-sign thread.

Real recognise real.

I'll even go as far as saying that in terms of added difficulty of meshing these different strands for an entire album so perfectly well, Distant Relatives is a feat. that no other album I can ever recall doing, definitely not in recent times. Delivering an enjoyable, musical album with real substance, heritage and purpose.

word that album was a dedication to the spirit

a vast deep calling of a yearning soul screaming to be heard in a cavernous nothingness

it's strings and horns masterfully guided my essence to a faraway land of rainbows and honeydew melons

Album just never did it for me like that, i love that song Patience though, easilly verse of the year by Damien Marley. I think the album would of been better if the beats were strictly hiphop or dancehall reggae

I can co-sign this to an extent ..

I'm a big Nas fan but DR (which is near Classic) just isn't all that to me..

Dont get me wrong, its arguably the best album of '10 (i have it #2 behind Chico Dusty)

But i think the album gets boring if you play it too often..

distant relatives was a good album but a lil overrated imo, i may be in the minority but i dont think nas and damian marley have great chemistry.

100000% cosign. I get chills off of Africa Must Wake Up & Patience. JR Gong caught tha whole album on fire but Nas really shined on Dispear, both of his verses on there were about as on point as possible. Bob Marley really left a great legacy and his seeds have carried his torch honorably. Damian is just amazing, no homo. Bob actually lived in my state back in tha 70's for a year or two.. It's tha only U.S state he lived in as far as I know. Respect to thread starter for giving this album props and the Marley family & Nas for giving us a instant classic.
