Yeah he handled that shit well. She was definitely tryin to make something else out of that interview.
 
Don't know how I would handle a situation like that.

Part of me would be thinking I need to be careful about what I say because I don't want to say something to mess up the movie premiere.

Another part of me would be like........."Apologize for what? She lied about me raping her........wtf do I have to apologize about? She should've apologized to me before she killed herself."

Now, saying that would ruin everything I worked so hard to accomplish...........but I don't think I'd be able to help myself.

My pride would get the best of me.

I don't think I indicated anywhere in this thread what I condone or don't condone. I'm sure most of us recognize that "cancer stricken bitch" is a trashy insult, despite whatever opinion we have on their exchange.

She didn't act as a white supremacist anything. What she did was present him with an opportunity. She asked him to speak to those people who are struggling with the idea of supporting his film because of what they perceive as a lack of empathy on his part. That is the essence of his responses. Guilty or not, he is missing an opportunity to gain a plethora of support just by speaking out about rape, taking responsibility for engaging in risky behavior and having empathy for contributing to an environment that resulted in awful consequences for those involved.

He doesn't have to do any of this. And people don't have to watch his movie. In a vacuum, that sounds all well and good. But he DOES want people to see his film and those people want to hear certain things. That's where it gets complex. Unfortunately, he's not doing a good job of selling the film. He's smug and insufferable. At this point, I would rather watch Charlie Manson play Mandela.
