A million times more foul than any shit he said bout Nikki...

man spoke his opinion her song and people mad over it like females in a bunch.

Awesome

Give us his credentials and tell us why you respect his opinion.

He gave an opinion that I agree with...Starships is wack. As I stated in another thread before.. hes the only DJ currently on either hot97 or power 1051 that has a 2 hour set dedicated to underground hiphop. And one of the few DJ from Hot 97 that still does shows and host events at SOB, 92Y Tribeca, BB Kings, predominatly Underground hiphop venues or his soundmakers series highlighting hiphop legendary producers. In 2012 to me giving my taste in hiphop music is something to be commended not looked down upon especially when everyone is PC.

His primary audience doesnt listen to YMCMB or Nikki Minaj and he made note of that when he made his comment.

Dude speaking his mind at a festivial dedicated to "True traditional hiphop" which featured artist that Rosenberg was the first DJ in NYC to play on NYC radio he speaking to his fans and his radio audience.

If you think about it... the elements in something like this...

..aren't TOO detatched from the songs in rap's early days like...

Afrika Bambaataa, one of the originators of break-beat deejaying, used WAY more of the same elements of electro-pop that posters like USMarine use to detatch a some nowadays from hip-hop.

"Bambaataa credited the pioneering Japanese electropop group Yellow Magic Orchestra as an inspiration. He also borrowed an eerie keyboard hook from German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk and was provided an electronic "beat-box" by producer Arthur Baker and synthesizer player John Robie. That resulted in a pop hit "Planet Rock", which went to gold status and generated an entire school of "electro-boogie" rap and dance music. Bambaataa formed his own label to release the Time Zone Compilation. He created "turntablism" as its own sub-genre and the ratification of "electronica" as an industry-certified trend in the late 1990s."

^ Afrika Bambaataa's music was centered around dance and not dusty samples or deep and intricate lyrics. In the 1980s, the Jungle Brothers built much of their discography around house and dance music, and they were one of the most celebrated hip-hop groups of their day as well.

the diff is nicki version would of been a much lighter more cross over more mainstream appeal ... that african bambatta joint is straight street and has all hip hop elements mixed with disco ... the only true similarity is SPEED / TEMPO ... outside of that all of nicki elements in her track are very soft and have an cross over mainstream appeal too it ...... go check out thats IT WAS WRITTEN ALBUM break down on HIP HOP DX and the track masters talk about HARD STREET vs SOFT MAINSTREAM ELEMENTS ... and if you go by thier definition nicki song is 100% geared for SOFT mainstream cross over appeal .......

You know black folks don't respect shots fired in the dark, we only respect what's authenticated and credible. In the light.

When we shoot shots we look you in the eye and in the face so you know exactly were the shots is coming from.

Any bitch with a bra can pump their chest online from an anonymous source but that shit is just worthless words from weirdos too ashamed of their own wretchedness too attach an actual identity to their Internet opinions.

Harsh truth, swallow hard and look in the mirror.
