This recent retro of the space jams was horrible, the quality was definitely not looking good. BTW the space jams didn't drop in 96-97 (that was the XII's), the first time they were released was in 2000 (the space jam colorway that is) and the Jordan XI's originally dropped in 95-96. Jordan XI's are classic. Its unfortunate that Jordan Brand has jacked up the price on these and lowered the quality, the original's were so much better.
Check out the comparison pictures here, notice how the 2009 retro has a lean to the sides almost like the shoes are running away from one another, and the 2000 version is straight up and down, really poor craftsmanship.
