PARK CITY, Utah — Possible bad news for Oregon loggers: Michael C. Hall won’t rule out a return to playing Dexter. But he’d want to see the finish line.

Hall, promoting his movie “Cold in July” at the Sundance Film Festival, said in an interview over the weekend that he agreed with Showtime executives who recently declared that any potential spin-off series would have to include Hall.

“’Masuka!’ I would watch that,” he joked, referring to the show’s humorous forensics specialist Vince Masuka, played by C.S. Lee.

More seriously, Hall said of a possible spin-off series, “I can’t even wrap my mind around that. And it’s all just theoretical until there is some sort of script reflecting somebody’s idea of where it could possibly go. But it’s hard for me to imagine what that would be.”

Hall, 42, also won’t rule out returning TV more generally.

“Yeah, as far as playing Dexter again for an undefined amount of time, that’s a little daunting to consider. But doing another television series -- there’s a lot of amazing stuff on TV. I don’t want to do that right away. But I wouldn’t say never to that.”

I'm surprised he didnt say "No!" off top, to kill any rumors/hopes of a spin off. But I guess dude is keepin his options open and waiting to see what kinda offer Showtime makes.

I read that the writers wanted to make it so that Dexter had to kill Deb in the end. I suppose that is why they created that contrived storyline.

I been binge watching the show the past 3 weeks from

season 2 to the finale today. That shit was wack. I almost made a thread but I said fuck it, let me search.

Why did he feel the need to throw Deb in the ocean rather then letting her get a proper burial.

And now he's a lumber jack? Shit is worse than the Sopranos ending.

But if he was really going to give up killing, wouldn't things be ok with Harrison and Hannah? So he went into isolation to give up everything, including killing? Fail. I did enjoy the article where the original show runners for the first few season said they would have ended it with Dexter lying on a table about to receive the lethal injection surrounded by pictures of all the people he killed and viewers would have realized the entire series was like a flashback and memories of what led to him ultimately getting caught and him being content with his life and how it all ended...except for the ones he loved getting hurt of course. I'll see if I can find that lank for ya'll.

Plus Vogel kept me pissed off, just couldn't stand her ass. Dexter was being pulled in too many directions. Serial killer, forensic expert, father, boy friend, brother.

Idk man, Hanna must have had that wet wet stupid between her legs. This dude threw his life away and gave away his son.

I don't mean to dredge this up but I had to go to somewhere. Dexter is a dope character but some of the story lines didn't do him justice.

My fav season was when he and Doakes was butting heads and Lila turned on him. Lila and Prato was ill villains.

Agreed... makes me think every character Anna Gunn plays now is a total bitch. Went back and watched Six Feet Under and she was in a couple episodes one season. Interestingly enough that character turned out to be a bitch. Now I'm watching Deadwood and she's shown up, lol. So we'll see if she gets typecasted...

Niggas was going so hard on Skyler online that it started to spill over to her personally. She wrote this article for the NY times or something talking about how ppl are out of hand and feel threatened by strong women and some other bs. Smh, she crazy.

I used to watch the show and be disgusted with myself about pissed she used to make me. I'm like damn this just a show, I couldn't shake it though.
