Deathrow vs Bad Boy

All Bad Boy had going for it was Craig Mack and Biggie.

Mack only released on album, and Death Row's roster was better than LOX/Mase/G Dep or whoever you want to throw out there.

2nd gen Death Row with Crooked I, Eastwood, Danny Boy, etc was better than Bad Boy 2nd gen.

Its a shame that East v West beef started....

I wish them niggas would have just spit in the cracker media faces and collaborated to get that paper instead of playing into that shit....but hindsight is 20/20

Biggie is the greatest rapper ever... but then Bad Boy almost fucked up hip hop for good when he was gone.

Why I voted for Deathrow Records

Because I almost liked everybody from that label

Why I didn't voted for Bad Boy Records

Because I only liked: Big, Kim, LOX, Rob, Puffy (yup No Way Out was dope), and Mase

Other folks from BB also dropped some good shit throughout the years, but it couldn't match the above

Have to say, the only artists I still listen to in 2013 are, Pac, Big, Dre, Snoop, Nate, Daz, Kurupt, Warren, Crooked, Lox, RBX, Rob, oh and hell yeah, Above the Law!

@ Lou

So we can forget about a certain Kim I guess?

While Lil Kim was closely associated with Bad Boy, she was never signed to the label.

And death row was dropping classic after classic.

Just my personal opinion, but Doggystyle>>>Harlem World and Dogg Food >>>> Money power respect.

@ Lou

You fucking...right

She never was signed to Bad Boy

But my mind is playing tricks on me

I can picture that little Bad Boy logo on her albums easily

Un and Big, I looked it up to be sure, lol

Yeah Puffy was executive producing like her first 2-3 albums too. Makes me wonder why they never signed her. But clearly after big passed she started to kind of distance herself, and i hear her and shyne had beef.

Ya'll are forgetting that Bad Boy wasn't strictly rap music. They had Faith Evans, 112 and Total. They all put out solid R&B albums. I voted for Bad Boy.

Do Not Compare Bad Boy To This....

Pac and Big will always be compared but....

Pac put out better songs and albums out. Not saying Big didnt drop any classics but Pac dropped better tracks IMO.

Snoop/Kurupt>>MASE

Dr.Dre >>Craig Mack

Nate Dogg>>112

Danny Boy>Mario Winans

Deathrow has dropped way much better music and has had better artists. Bad Boy got some classics but thats mostly from Biggie and some 112 tracks. But DeathRow has HIP HOP CLASSICS

The Chronic/Doggystyle/All Eyez On Me/7DT/Dogg Food are classics and Above The Rim is a classic soundtrack.

Death Row easy. They had the goat producer and rapper on the same label. Death Row put out countless classics, while bad boy only has 2, and both by the same artist (Biggie). Death Row's first 8 releases all went multi-platnuim; that will never happen again. The only advantage that bad boy has over Death Row was they were able to release more r and b albums. But still Nate Dogg, Danny Boy, Jewel, Michel'e >>>>>>… what Death Row did in the 90's was epic. They dropped the Chronic, Doggy Style, all eyes on me, & Makaveli. All of those albums are in the top 25 hip hop albums of all-time. Closed thread
