I think she has a point about the N-word. You shouldn't steal if you want other people to stop stealing. It can't be wrong for non-black people to use the N-word non-maliciously but okay when black people do it. It's not legal to pay women less for the same work that you would pay a man more for, there's no evidence that this happens on a wide scale level or that women earn less than men, on average, due to discrimination. Other than than I don't remember having a big issue with the video. I watched it yesterday so I probably can't remember a lot of it. I thought it was a lot less offensive than her 'dear fat people' bullshit.
I would fuck that bitch. She cute and has nice teeth
She is pretty.
Alot less is still offensive. If it wasnt offensive it was ignorant.. we havent reached that place where these racialized digs cant be seen as bullshit under the guise of comedy.. But many are cavalier and accept and it a trade their racial barbs and laugh it off.. we get to call you cacs you get to be in denial........ :/
I wasn't personally offended by anything, I don't think she said anything unreasonable. I tried re-watching it just now but I'm not really interested. White people should consider how black people are affected by what is perceived as cultural appropriation or their use of the N-word but the cause for at least some of the offense is the widespread acceptance of racial double standards and a mentality of exclusivity that is problematic and needs to be addressed, with some tact and diplomacy.
Throughout the video she compliments black people and what she thinks of as 'black culture' and seems sympathetic to people who have been victimized by white racism (you can say she was making light of police brutality or similar issues but that's what comedy in general does and unlike a lot of callous humor, she didn't actually mock the victims or deny the wrongness of what happened to them).
@ the bolded, i couldnt give a fuck about sympathy, regardless of what race. but im looking at her intentions and priorities... is she displaying sympathy to help the black community grow or is she doing it simply to justify her jokes? the video was 90%jokes and 10% white guilt (at least in my eyes)... if you subtract the few times she "compliments" or "sympathises with" black culture, you have yourself a racist video.
"i feel like black girls put cornrows in white girls hair to get back at us for slavery"
wtf are you serious? maybe im looking too deep into it, but comparing the pain or braiding a white girls hair to slavery is fucked the fuck up... yeh i know it was a joke but still
