DC: Rebirth

Not a huge DC fan so I'll only check for JL, JL 3000 and Red Hood books besides not that big of a deal.

Im not positive, but i dont know if red hood or JL 3000 will have ongoing books in DC Rebirth.

They arent on the release schedule i picked up at the shop last weekend atleast.

Red Hood Will have a book. Its an outlaw book, similar to what he has now. One of the outlaws is Artemis the amazon from Paradise Island.

How is Scooby Doo and Future quest? the advertisements look really dope and have me all nostalgic af. Are they more adult oriented or aimed towards kids?

just finished scooby-doo, gonna jump into future quest, then rebirth..

scooby-doo is a revamp; more adult-oriented, serious-toned comic

it's a cool #1, I expect it to get a lot better, just an intro to all the characters and how they meet, nothing like the cartoon, feels like an x-files type of joint rn

Velma is a scientist working on a secret tech w other scientists called nanites. Their goal was to infect humans w this tech; taking over the hosts brain to make all humans peaceful, eliminating hate, violence etc.. but of course, things turn bad, it isn't what Velma though, basically the nanites are to control the population to the govt's power.

Shaggy is an expert dog trainer, he works for the same company Velma does. Although, they don't know each other. At the end of the comic they show how scooby and shaggy met in a short. He saved scooby life when other dogs were going to attack and kill him in their kennel.

Scooby is in the 'smart dog project' where they implant a chip into his brain to active his talking. He also wears hi-tech gear. But Scooby was a disappointment and failure according to the scientist. He was too simple-minded. So they went and searched for other dogs to experiment on and they were successes.

Fred and Daphnie are freelance journalists, looking to solve mysteries. Daph is the reporter and Fred is the camera man.

Velma feels bad for the nanites and wants to stop it, so she contacts mystery reporter Daph to spill the beans on her show. Scooby and Shaggy come in and meet them all because of Scoobys gear; it lets him know Velma's in trouble. Fred had accidentally hit Velma thinking she was a mole rat person.

Velma tells all of them what's going on, they go back to base and she shows them around. It ends w the nanites being prematurely activated, Velma shocked and says the world is going to end now.

It was cool. Def more serious. I'll keep picking it up until I feel it shits out. But so far, I like it.

Been putting dr. Fate in the pullbox but just now getting to read them. I got issue 7 through 12. I'm on 9 right now. Anyone else read this series? How do you feel about it?

I read it. It's alright. I appreciate the way they finally integrated Kent Nelson into the story.

That's how I feel about it. Just alright. Thinking about stopping reading it.

Future Quest is alright, looks like it's gonna get better. About vortexes, time travel and what not. Nothing major so far. But enough to keep me interested. It's fun. The artwork is dope.

I'm not a big complainer of comics.

IGN shit on the Scooby-Doo Apocalypse.

But FQ seems to be getting great reviews across the board. Very nostalgic to the sat morn cartoons. Loved watching Jonny Quest. Space Ghost appears @ the end.

I just got back from the shop. Copped Rebirth, Omega Men 12, and Scooby Doo 1.

They have hella covers for scooby doo! like one cover for each character. Was almost impossible to decide which one i wanted lol. I ended up going with the Team one though. Same one you got Vibe.

Added Scooby and Future quest to the pull box.

Dr. Manhattan wasnt anywhere in my book. Just wally interacting with Barry a bunch. There WAS the scene with Batman finding the Pin of the Comedian, but no Dr. Manhattan. Did the Manhattan even take place in another comic?

I know Superman #52 ties into this, and a few others like Batman/Superman and Action Comics, but for Supermans last days.

Justice League Darkseid War and Superman # 52 (which the end of a 8 part series over several Superman titles) leads into rebirth.

Yes this is the first time Watchmen and Dr Manhattan have ever been involved with the DC Universe.
