Dark Souls III

So I just started invading people(pause) and this shit is useless on this game, especially as a pure mage. If you past soul level 50 and not overpowered(strength/dex build) as fuck, don't even bother. If you are soul level 50 they will throw you in games where people are basically waiting to get invaded. I guess people learned their lessons from the other two games. Because hardly anybody plays solo anymore. People be deep as fuck. I invaded one guy and this fucker had 4 phantoms rolling with him. All of them had like the best rare gear too. I used the spell to transform you into an object, waited till they passed, then I bounced lol. If you like soul level 70 and up they will put you in new game+ players world. They all are done with the game and basically waiting for people to invade smh.

Out of 30 invasions only like 5 went well and was actually fun as fuck. I jumped in one game and that shit was a battle royal. There was two dudes waiting to jump me and then hella people started to invade. 1 dark spirit, one mad spirit, and one aldritch faithful. As soon as somebody died another invader came lol. When they summoned other phantoms to help they didn't even know who was friend or foe. Then the host cracked open one of them seeds and then the giants and dead pyromancers started attacking everybody. I ran up on one of the dead giants, hopped off the top and sliced the shit out of the host. Shit was hella fun.

Naw a lot of people play solo. By design invasions are set up so that you invade people doing co op. If you want 1vs1s youll have more luck with summon duels. Also it ls alot harder to cheese people with magic this go around.

Damn that Pontiff Sylvahn dude was a pain in my ass. That might one of the hardest battles I've had in a Souls game. I figured out how to beat him pretty easy, but every fight there was at least one instance where he pulled out some bullshit that I really couldn't do anything about.

Pontiff was the turning point for me...

Game difficulty went up from then on...

No more beating bosses on 1st, 2nd or 3rd try...

Pontiff definitely difficult, thought the anor Londo boss was one of the easiest so far

Pontiff seems to be a bitch for everyone...

Aldrich spammed Arrow Rain on me and killed me like 4-5 fights in a row, fight would be over before it started...

Currently at Archdragon Peak and Grand Archives bosses and they're both kicking my ass in phase 2...

So far none of these bosses have anything on Defiled Dungeon Amygdala or Orphan of Kos tho...

I have a steady hate in my heart for those bitches...

Ain't played my file properly for a bit, think I'm at kings garden, gunna have to have a run out in 40mins or so refresh my memory.

They got any DLC scheduled for this yet? Curious to see what they do with it, could do with some more dex weapons.

Currently using carthus curved sword, pretty decent, skill move is a bit weak but saves my fp for carthus flame so suits my style nice.

Had some guy help fight dragon armour, killed the boss he was doin joy emote an one of the flying Dragons KO'd him lol nothing worse than killing boss expecting ember n getting KO'd by some random shit.

Man, I think I have to do some leveling or something. I'm at Aldridge and everything this dude does one shots me. It's one thing to be killed by his by a direct hit from his spear, but I literally died from being clipped by the handle of the spear no bullshitting.

U attempted co-op? Or going solo first run? I'll be up for helping out, depends on time zone tho. On early shifts this week so can't get on late.

Going solo first run. lol I go through this every Souls game. I always play my first time with a no shield, low level, no co-op run. I'm usually able to dance around bosses until I figure them out, but Aldritch been killing me in like 2 seconds. So far the bosses of this game haven't been as hard as the Bloodborne bosses, but they are getting there.

why didn't yall use any phantoms for Pontiff Sulyvane?

I used two... it was a three on 1 battle.

there is a summon on each side of the decrative steps before the fog.

i stood back and let the two NPC phantoms go to work, then when they needed to heal i would run in and attack getting suly's attention. then back off heal and let the two summons get him again.

whole fight was a minute and some change.

Somehow I always miss the npc summons, only one I've used is the one before ocieros (sp?) and he was weak as shit, walked in confident and got dragged when he started doing dash attacks.

Always found the npc to be shit, unless they're tanks with tower shields.

Game is less fun when you have tanks

Well for some of us the point is to overcome the challenge not circumvent it. And that is probably sounds way snottier than I mean it too. All I'm saying is that it's nerve racking, but I like the challenge. The game gives you ways around it, but I'm not really interested in taking them.
