DeHaven was running his mouth to authorities from what I remember, then shitted on Jay not fucking with him as a result.

I don't understand how/why he can't start another label. There's hundreds of underground MCs that need a CEO to take care of the business while they (the underground MC) handle the music end of it. Dame should know how to clear samples and handle contracts.

That's the problem most MCs have, they need a business partner. I know if I was an underground MC and I had some heat, I'd let Dame be my manager.

Dame deserves to be shitted on BUT don't think he was getting hand outs at Roc. He had equity in the clothing line (what made them "multi till I die"). He was instrumental in the clothing line, hired his future wife Rachel Roy as creative director, helped her line get off to where Michelle Obama and Oprah rock her stuff. Was shooting ads that wanted Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham. Plus he was running the day to day at Rocafella. I respect Damon and hope he rebounds. Never in life let me hear the words "hustler" and "Dame Dash" in the same sentence. People front on Birdman, but even the Chocolate Dragon Ball bought his properties. This is like the second or third rental property I've heard Dame losing. I can't even feel bad for him because I can't comprehend working that hard to reach the top and then coasting once you get there.

Hell, Puffy still talking about 6 hours of sleep a night being a blessing--and I think that's wack as fuck--but it at least shows you what his hustle is about.
