That's what it's become tho, the reason rock fell from the dominate form of music is because its OGs didn't want to let the young boys add their twist to it and let it change. They singled them off as "punk rock" and sub-genres. Look at the way ppl dress, talk, greet each other, etc. It's that's hip-hop. All the top billing rock acts are OGs, there isn't many young rock artists killing the charts like they used to. Used to be guys like Billy Talent, Fallout Boy, maroon 5, Marianas Trench, etc etc.

My only beef with purists is they don't encourage change and growth and if a nigga do he's labelled a sell-out, gay, or somehow undeserving of being labelled "hip-hop". Niggas say Drake, Future, ASAP Rocky, Weeknd, the south, etc aren't hip-hop SMMFH b/c it don't fit what they grew up listening to.
