The Dominicans I've came in contact with are the mulattoes or black dominicans.

Which one? @blakfiyahking Punta Cana is a place in DR, tourist location with white sand beaches. Good choice! better than Puerto Plata, another popular tourist destination.

You are going to love it and there are so many excursions, I definitely suggest you go ATV riding along the country side and visit a natural cave.

If you plan on leaving the resort and/or going out at night I can make some suggestions.

Expectedly so as Dominicans as a whole are an African people. Dominicans are spanish speaking blacks, black roots/genes are dominant, regardless of mixing. Even where I reside in DR is made up of pure "Morenas" or what some refer to as Indias", the "blancas" aren't everywhere but its dependent on where you are of course. Unfortunately even some "Black Dominicans", mostly older heads, have issues with identifying themselves as black. Many are very well aware and proud though these race issues exist.

Go to DR and you'll see there's no difference between "us" American blacks and them as far as race goes.
