Yo. No lie the office damn near made me cry last night, been watching that show since the very first episode. But i didnt cry, because im a mother fucking man you know what im saying? i just bottled it up and put it deep down where the rest of the sad is hidden, waiting to one day erupt on some poor soul.

But to answer the Chang question. I think what they did (and im sure chevy chase quitting mid season didnt help) is set up this main storyline, and if they get cancelled so what, but if they get season 5 they atleast have a basis for the season. I could be wrong tho because that whole chang shit was used for practically this entire season. Then ends with no repercussions lol.

The writers said this last episode was very thrown together with all the drama that happened behind the scenes with Chevy.

the office one of the only shows i ever gave a fuck about the characters besides just being entertained by the show, that shit was well written

i was afraid the show wasn't coming back with all the other cancellation on nbc this week.

chevy just quit really. there had been reports for a while about how difficult he was to work with over the years, no showing and shit like that. the footage they did use for this season was the stuff they taped whenever he would actually show up to the set

Co Sign peagle, but some more to that is a lot of writers and people would say chevy was just an asshole period. Obviously being the one with most comedy/acting experience he just acted like a diva. Him and harmon would butt heads all the time and get into shouting matches. Harmon said he would use the n word all the time. Never said it to any of the cast members but would be in his vocabulary during conversation. He would get pissed off at how they would write Pierce. He is just horrible to work with it sounds like lol.

So he quit after like 8 episodes worth of material and they had to make 14 episodes so the had a lot to re write and just used bits and pieces of Pierce's scenes and thru them in there just enough to help the story. Atleast in season 5 the writers should have a much easier time writing instead of rushing 6 episodes midway thru production

Well at least one of my favorite 2 comedies got renewed. Still crossing my fingers USA or TBS picks Happy Endings up. Would be a real good look for TBS to pair it with Cougar Town though.

i was just getting into go on, it was underrated. i hope hannibal stays on, very good show.

Renewed for season 5. Another 13 episode Season. and it is not going to be on the Fall Schedule. Probably gonna air in feb.

Season 4 was the weakest in terms of laughs, glad it got renewed though as I still enjoy the cast a lot.

Dan Harmon Might Return to Community

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Harmon — the man whose firing from the lowly rated Community has been alternately picked over, bashed, and defended to death, mostly all by Dan Harmon — might actually come back to Community for Season 5 in some capacity. Which, right, yeah — we should point out that Community actually was renewed for a fifth season, despite no uptick in viewership and no downtick in behind-the-scenes drama with NBC. This. Just. Won't. Ever. End.

Harmon let the news slip during a taping of his podcast Sunday night, then asked that it be edited out of the final product. But a reporter for HollyWookie.com was at the taping and caught the tidbit. So right now there's no other information available, but presumably David Guarascio and Moses Port — the TV vets brought in after Harmon was ousted, to un-weird the place — will stay on, with Harmon working in some kind of supervisory capacity.

So — what the hell? Well, as THR puts it, "For NBC, Harmon's return would help solidify Community — one of only two returning comedies the network has for 2013-14." Seems like an utterly preposterous thing to say, right? How could rehiring the guy you fired solidify the thing you fired him from?! But this is NBC we're talking about here. Guess they figured they couldn't get anything else funny popping — why not double down on the one comedy entity they have that someone, somewhere feels passionate about?

Then again, every little bit of kerfuffle between Harmon and the network could be some part of an infuriating, never-ending, Community-esque meta-gag. In Community's last season, Chevy Chase will break the fourth wall, say something creepy, then announce Community: The Major Motion Picture, executive produced and co-written by NBC's Bob Greenblatt. Six seasons and a movie, ya'll. Six seasons and a movie.

Sony Negotiating With Dan Harmon to Return to Community

Dan Harmon revealed he'd been asked back to Community this past weekend, and while that's pretty amazing in and of itself, it didn't mean he'd actually accept the offer. However, EW is now reporting Harmon is currently in negotiations with Sony, who produce the series, to return for Season 5 of the show. Should the deal be made, it will mark a highly unusual reunion between a TV show creator and the studio and network that let him go a year ago.

Deadline reports that Chris McKenna has been approached to return alongside Harmon. McKenna was a crucial writer/producer during Harmon's time on the show, writing the fan favorite "Remedial Chaos Theory" multiple timeline episode in Season 3, among other installments. McKenna left Community in the wake of Harmon's dismissal, but has an overall deal with Universal TV, NBC's corporate sibling, which would allow him to work on Community.

Deadline says they hear Sony initially asked David Guarascio and Moses Port, who were the showrunners on Season 4, to return for Season 5, but they declined. Deadline also refer to Season 5 as "the final chapter" the series, with the intention of Harmon coming in to guide the show he began to its finish - though officially, Sony and NBC haven't made any "final season" announcement about Community, which has secured last-minute renewals the past couple of years.

Community: Season 4 ultimately had ratings on par with Season 3, but the fan displeasure over Harmon's dismissal and a season many found lacking will obviously mean a lot of excitement if a deal is made for him to return... and right now, it's looking more and more likely that will happen.
