I play College Dropout the most outta of his alubms... imo MBDTF was fucking garbage.. Late Registration was dope as was Graduation... havent listened to 808 & Heartbreaks

I love College Dropout! Spaceship was my anthem when I was working three jobs just to pay for undergrad back then. Am I the only person on here who enjoyed 808's? I don't even really consider that a hip hop album, more so a album that has some hip hop elements. I'm just a a fan of Kanye musically, dude has never dropped any weed plates in my opinion. 808's he was just going through so much emotionally, I think he just needed a way to express that beyond spitting some 16's and looping up some samples.

^^^Spaceships was my shit too. i played that shit almost every morning. I gotta give it to Late Registration then CD. After that I go Graduation then MBDTF and 808's. More than a solid catalog so far. 808's was wack

College dropout was and still is my shit I was listening to that back in high school, if it is not a classic it would definitely be a memorable album.

College Dropout is the album that made the most impact and will probably go down as the one that most will remember him by, but I still think Late Registration is his best work. It was better both lyrically and musically. Production wise College Dropout was more of the same style that he'd been using since '00 w/ the soul samples and drum programming, but Late Registration added layers and richer more distinct drum programming than what he was doing before. The instrumentation added to the samples and added layers to his sound. Lyrically, aside from a few lines, he was more consistent and his songwriting shined more on Late Regsitration.

My feelings exactly. These two albums are why I still have hope for Kanye- I know what he can do when he's just being himself.

MBDTF was good, but it's nowhere near the complete album that the first two were.

To me Late Registration is his one undeniable classic, but College Dropout was a HELL of an Entrance, especially considering how average a lot of producers are when they start rapping...

Yeah 808's is definitely slept on. I didn't like it when it came out, but I've been listening to it lately and love some of it. I'm tempted to say it's more of a pop album just because of the catchy hooks and different production, but it's kinda in that gray area between both hip hop and rnb

Umm, he was rapping before he was producing...so...

Late Registration>

the musical arrangements ....instrumentals ....details ..... unbelievable ..... content is there .... personable tracks are there .... i mean CD was great but i think it had some songs that where just ....meh imo plus it just wasnt as organized as LR too many lengthy skits ....

I personally like Dropout the most myself, but to say it's a lot better than the rest is silly. The others are great albums themselves.

PS: I wish he didn't go in another direction on Graduation with "Stronger" and cutting out the skits. If he was gunna switch it up, then don't call the album Graduation.

by definition ....wouldn't "graduation" be the absolute most fitting tittle for an album where he's breaking/moving on from what he did in the past

CD is definitely a classic album but not his best. Also, people sleeping on 808s man! That shit was amazing. Get past the fact that its not a traditional hiphop album. This nigga is spitting some real shit

MBDTF>>>CD>>>LR>>>808s>>>Graduation. That's not knocking any of his albums, just showcasing how dope his catalog is. He is the most versatile rapper stylistically in the game. Every album is completely different than the one before
