‘The Enemies Within’: Steven Seagal Gives Bizarre Interview From Russia

Action movie star Steven Seagal appeared on Good Morning Britain Wednesday to provide a fairly nuts interview on topics ranging from President Donald Trump’s administration to the NFL and Vladimir Putin.

Seagal, who recently became a Russian citizen
, joined GMB from Moscow with his now-trademark tiny sunglasses, Mandarin-style shirt and jet-black dyed hair.

Co-host Piers Morgan first asked for his thoughts on Trump’s presidency — and Seagal provided a fairly rambling answer in which he blamed “the enemies within” and “leftover Obama-ites” for stifling the administration’s progress.

Next up, Morgan asked the actor about NFL players protesting police brutality in the United States.

Seagal said that while he believes in free speech, he doesn’t think that football players “should hold the United States hostage” by “imposing their political views.”

“I think it’s outrageous, I think it’s a joke, it’s disgusting,” Seagal said.

“I myself have risked my life countless times for the American flag,” Seagal continued — though it’s not clear what he’s referring to, or if he’s confusing himself with his on-camera characters.

Morgan’s last question challenged Seagal’s fondness of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and how he juggles that friendship with his claims to American patriotism.

Seagal defended Russia by responding that “every country is involved in espionage,” and denied that Putin had “anything to do with fixing” the U.S. election – all while pronouncing Putin’s name with a hardcore Russian accent.

The actor concluded that the belief that Russia interfered with the U.S. election is the result of “astronomical propaganda,” and meant as some sort of “diversion.”

Many were against Ali. Now they talk about how heroic he was. Whites who hated him now talk as if they love him.

Same with MLK...white people got sick of him. Thinking of this poll makes me cringe every time those right wingers bring up MLK with such reverence today knowing dam well they would have hated his guts if they were his contemporaries

btw like trevor noah said, ppl who say athletes should be "grateful that they are given the opportunity..." is some slick racist shit. "grateful"??!! FOH with that bullshit. athletes earn their money, and for the amount of money their sport generates, they should be paid accordingly. That has nothing to do w kneeling. But the problem is, most americans don't view athletes as ppl. They view them as possessions that are only there to entertain.

I agree with Trevor. But Black athletes have done this to themselves. Before any Kaep or any of these protests, Black athletes particularly in the NFL have said, it's a "privilege" to play in the NFL. I have always wanted to slap the shit out of these Black men who say that. Fuck you mean a privilege? If, you have trained for most of your life and become one of that best at what you do. You have EARNED your RIGHTS..

ehhh. yes and no. that privilege shit is more jus a company line. odds are they are hinted to say that shit.

so they are kinda @ fault. but not fully imo. ppl are jus too dumb to know its jus a company line.

like ppl are too dumb kno the military pays the nfl for all that song n dance to start gms as a recruitment tool.

Its all jus a hustle

Even if what you say is true. No one has to do anything simply because, they are told. If, a man has a shred of integrity they aren't going to compromise their life's work just to toe the company line. If, Black players are compromising themselves then it makes sense why white folks are acting as they are. whites have every right then to say you've been good lil niggers, don't be a hypocrite now.

I think you're being a little too critical. There is nothing wrong them feeling like the are privileged to be able to play in the NFL. They essentially get to make millions of dollars for playing a game they love so much they'd probably play it for free. It doesn't matter that they worked hard to be there and earned their spot, the setup itself is what they see as a privilege because most people in the world are not in anything close to the same position as far as employment goes.

I fail to see how being gracious about their situation means it's ok for their employers to disrespect them. You make a lot of good points on these matters, but sometimes I feel like you go hard just for the sake of going hard.

Black athletes got comfortable and most were quiet when they saw things weren't right. They tried to play the "Good entries like OK and it always back fires.

On a side note, the protests are good for bringing attention to the issue (when they aren't being deflected), but one thing that has always bothered me about all these anti-police brutality protests is that they aren't quite as good at bringing attention to the solutions.

Your point is quite ridiculous. What matters most is they have worked and sacrificed huge portions of their lives to get to that level. My son is high level athlete and what he has had to sacrificed since age 11 (he's now 16) as compared to other teens isn't comparable. While others are sitting on their asses, hanging out with friends etc. he's on the road, training, preparing etc. For these guys this carries through college and into their professional careers.

Their contract amounts aint none of your damned business and you should never EVER check another mans pockets. They are paid what they are worth and what they have worked for years to obtain. That's is not a privilege. A privilege is sitting on your ass and collecting an inheritance.

We don't say the same about Dr.'s or Lawyers who work tirelessly to earn degrees that only small % of population obtain. They earn their titles, prestige and monetary gains.

If they are going to be gracious it should be to a higher power. Not white men and organizations. Furthermore. Where did I say it's OK for employers to disrespect them? What I did say is, if a man is going to compromise himself then it's it makes sense when they are disrespected.

Perfect example is Ray Lewis. He's compromised himself countless times. So, it's quite clear why he his under pressure right now from white and black.

lol Nothing you just said addresses my point. Where did that "checking another man's pockets" even come from? I don't give a shit how much any of them make. You hear doctors say all the time that they feel privileged to do work at a certain hospital or just to be able to do what they are doing. No one would ever claim that they hadn't worked hard to get there, so I'm not even seeing what point you're trying to make here. You're making way more out of that expression than is meant by it. There is no compromise there.

The definition of privilege is a special right, advantage, or immunity granted only to a special person or group of people. Playing in the NFL is a right that only people with a certain skill and athletic level will ever be able to achieve. That by definition make is a privilege. You don't have to be undeserving to be privileged. That's not a fundamental part of the definition. In fact, the only people I know of who even think of the word like that are racist whites that want to try and bash minorities.

Solutions to the issues are out there in abundance. Whites are to busy deflecting, and ignoring the issues. There is no way to get to a solution when you have a power structure that doesn't believe there's a problem.

Here are some proposed solutions.

The most obvious is, STOP SHOOTING NIGGAS!!

Now to the more subtle which I have read several times throughout the debate. Start paying the shooting victims out of the police pension fund.

Address the Blue code of silence, the corrupt judicial system and actually start sending killer cops to real prison.

Begin drug testing cops regularly and immediately after shootings. I believe many of these cops are on all types of drugs, from alcohol, to roids, to coke.

There's always going to be rouges. But to settle the people and have them genuinely believe something is being done you have start somewhere. Outside of some body cams which they don't legally have turned on. There's been nothing by way of legislation to address the issue.

Whats being lost in the whole national anthem debate is the fact that the anthem was written by slave owner and the 3rd verse reference of killing slaves. That's still not common knowledge yet. That fact should be as mainstream as the name Kaepernick.

My point is not that proposed solutions aren't out there. I just posted a site that lists solutions and provides actual data demonstrating why those solutions would likely be effective. My point is that these solutions need to be pushed a little harder than they are. Like when someone comes and asks these guys about this issue, they can't just say "Stop Shooting Niggas" because getting cops to stop shooting niggas is the goal not the path towards it. They have to start pushing the solutions. I'm not trying to derail the topic. I just keep hearing people say "what should we do about the problem." You're right, there is a lot of deflecting going on, but there also isn't much discussion of proposed solutions in general.

Americans don't give af about that. That's the same thing as saying americans killed the natives and stole their land. They don't give a fuck! its a non starter imo
