I'm curious as to what the goal of the boycott is at this point.... to get the message out? To get Kaep a job? To show the power of black dollars/unity? To spite trump? All of the above?

I'm not mad either way.. just looking for some clarity

Safe to say trump aint winning in 2020

The same people that were supporting him in 2016 are still supporting him now.

If minorities and progressive white people stay home again or waste votes on 3rd party candidates again, Donald Trump will be re-elected.

I think the jig is up now... remember more human beings still voted against him than for him by sheer numbers.. the system/ electoral college is why he "won"

Tons of people listened to the trolls and bots on social media (like what happened here) that told them that Trump and Hillary were the same, thus there was no need for them to vote for Hillary. They were told to stay home and not vote or were told to waste their vote on a 3rd party candidate that didn't have a chance of winning.

More player finally stepped up and now y'all complaining what took so long.

Just focus on the progress that's being made now.

Its good they're stepping up. Its not good they only stepped up when the league was attacked and not just when Kaep is

Bruh. This is America. He could win in 2020....

Or he could lose, claim it was rigged. Then refuse to give up power. And the army would have to forcefully remove him....anything is possible now a days.

Fuck it

Why Malcom and Martin took so long

Why Tubman didn't do shit quicker.

You niggas find the problem in everything. Players stated they are standing with Kaep. So that's all that should matter

The folks that still take a knee next week will show who and who aren't the bandwagon ass cats imo

Exactly. Don't get me wrong I have no issue with ppl saying they don't fuck with trump. I'm really talking about the gesture of taking a knee from a pro athlete and their coaches/owners knowing where it came from and who started it. A year ago nobody wanted to touch that action. A year ago owners didn't know if they wanted players that would do that on their team. But then these same owners who financially backed trump wana take a knee and/or link arms with these players cuz they're more afraid of the scrutiny if they didn't. Then you got this random ass doctor doing it lol. He could really be with the shits and I have no idea but ehhh...

This whole thing today is like a fine ass person with a horrible or badly placed tattoo....if you like em you'll deal with it, but you gon be wincing every time you see that ugly ass tat lol

Steelers, Titans, Seahawks absent for anthem

CHICAGO -- In a sign of solidarity, the Pittsburgh Steelers stayed in the locker room during the national anthem before their 1 p.m. ET kickoff with the Chicago Bears.

Players for the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans did the same before their 4 p.m. ET kickoff.

An NFL official told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that no fines are being considered for those players who stayed in the locker room during the anthem.

As the anthem began in Soldier Field, several Steelers coaches were on the sideline, including head coach Mike Tomlin, while the players were not present. Offensive coordinator Todd Haley, offensive line coach Mike Munchak and running backs coach James Saxon also were spotted.

Players took the field within a few seconds of the anthem's end, just after fireworks launched; quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was one of the first players out of the tunnel. Left tackle Alejandro Villanueva, an Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan, was seen on the CBS broadcast at the edge of the tunnel during the anthem, hand over heart.

In Nashville, the Seahawks and Titans both issued statements saying their players were united in their actions.

"As a team, we have decided we will not participate in the national anthem," the Seahawks' statement said. "We will not stand for the injustice that has plagued people of color in this country. Out of love for our country and in honor of the sacrifices made on our behalf, we unite to oppose those that would deny our most basic freedoms. We remain committed in continuing to work towards equality and justice for all."

The Seahawks walked onto the field after the anthem with players locking arms.

Said the Titans: "As a team, we wanted to be unified in our actions today. The players jointly decided this was the best course of action. Our commitment to the military and our community is resolute and the absence of our team for the national anthem shouldn't be misconstrued as unpatriotic."

DE Wolfe on protests: Worse places than U.S.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe said Sunday he believes players should stand for the national anthem but that protests are a "right'' and "to each their own.''

Wolfe sent a statement to ESPN's Josina Anderson that outlined why he stands for the anthem and why he believes others should as well. But Wolfe also addressed those who have kneeled or stood during the anthem and may in the future.

Wolfe's statement comes after comments during a weekend rally in Alabama from President Donald Trump that players who refuse to stand for the national anthem should be "fired" by NFL owners. The comments have drawn widespread reaction from NFL owners and players as well as commissioner Roger Goodell and former commissioner Paul Tagliabue.

Wolfe's statement:

"I stand because I respect the men who died in real battles so I have the freedom to battle on the field. Paying tribute to the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom is why I stand. But everyone these days likes to find a reason to protest and that's their right. It's America and you are free to speak your mind. I just feel it's disrespectful to the ones who sacrificed their lives and it's the wrong platform. But like I said to each their own it's AMERICA! The greatest country in the world and if you don't think we are the greatest country in the world and you reside here, then why do you stay? A lot worse places in the world to call home. Proud to be an American.''

Wolfe has previously said he supported people's right to protest, including when linebacker Brandon Marshall knelt during the national anthem before eight games last season in part to protest the use of force by police. Wolfe also has consistently said he personally believes everyone should stand for the anthem.

The false narrative continues.. I didn’t realize the military and military dead owned the anthem and the flag...
