Can you really 'sell out' before your first album though? I mean I'm sure he had a couple mixtapes out, but they weren't on the level of Krit, Cole, and Kendrick's mixtapes. I think he just switched it up to get popular, now he's starting to be more of himself as an artist.

exactly, BoB didnt sell out. He was doing the SAME exact songs on his mixtapes as he did on his album. He established himself as an all around artist from the jump.

Listened to his Mixtapes Friday Night Lights and listened to Cold World tried to give him a chance but he just way too boring and his Production is a huge turn off, just as bad as Nas Beat selection i just couldn't get into his Music mainly cos of how boring it is and because of the really weak Production and the bland style of Rapping

Just lacked any replay what so ever to me but am amzed he sold anywhere near these numbers cos i never heard anyone talk about or bump a J Cole Song outside the IC period

One of the best albums of the year and J. Cole produced 99% of it himself.

Beats and rhymes was on point and he kept the guests to a minimum so I applaud the project and I'm looking forward to his next one.
